(NOTE) If you are not familiar with this Lincoln Factory Color...it is an amazing Metallic that glitters like a Diamond in the sun, Depending on the location of the daylight it goes from an almost Iridescent Rose Gold Color to a Vibrant Copper to a Fawn Bronze color and as the sun goes down a Light Cordovan color that compliments the dark burgundy roof perfectly...Its depth of color is stunning, (difficult to photograph metallic paint)It was a special order Factory color for 1978 and It was the first year Lincoln used a Two-Stage paint process on their Metallic finishes Only, Metallics had a heavy Clear Acrylic Enamel coating polished highly to a mirror finish. (like Only Lincoln could do).
Price was Reduced $4000.00 and this is my Best and Final...Please don't contact me with an additional Price reduction....Current Price is well below Market Value. Beautiful 1978 Lincoln Mark V, All Original, Like New Condition. Low Actual, Documented and Verified Mileage.
Marti Report states this vehicle is One of One produced in 1978 by Lincoln with Crystal Apricot Metallic paint, With Optional Wire Wheel Covers (first time offered by Lincoln) and OptionalFull Valino Grain Cordovan Vinyl Top. (Marti Report included).
1978 was Fords 75th Anniversary and the vehicle comes with (3) sets of Gold Anniversary cut keys. The vehicle still sports the Manley Motors dealership trunk badge and front license plate. An unopened factory license plate kit. Vehicle also has the optional and ultra rare NOS side louver vent chrome trim (never installed, see photo). Both original 1978 Illinois DMV license plates. Vehicle was also heavily rustproofed at the dealership in 1978 and remains rust free to this day. No dents, dings or scrapes, near flawless paint with a deep, mirror-like shine.
Cartier Clock works and keeps precise time and date.
Optional upgraded Factory AM/FM Stereo Radio with Power Antenna. And Cruise Control.
Hideaway Headlights work perfectly and there are absolutely no leaks in the Vacuum lines. (serviced and maintained).
Interior is the Factory Optional Striped, Ultra-Velour and Vinyl Cordovan color with matching carpeting...All in Pristine, Like brand new condition...no flaws and when I removed the build sheets last week I discovered the rear seat belts were still in the factory plastic. Vehicle has never been smoked in and ash trays have never been used.
Three ring binder contains all the original paperwork from day ONE. Including everything imaginable from (2) pristine condition Build Sheets, Window Sticker, Ford Factory Invoice, Manuals, Factory Press Releases and Photos, A complete Collectors Package of Materials. Lincoln Emblem Emergency Road Kit, First Aid Kit and Lincoln Umbrella for the trunk area, Spare Tire is Factory Original and has never been removed from the vehicle.
Recently removed from long term storage, Routine maintenance was performed including new radiator and hoses ($1,105.11), new Bilstein shocks (front and rear $620.88) and a new set of Coker American Classic 1.6 inch period correct white wall tires. ($884.04)(the original tires were previously on the car but due to age needed to be replaced, they still had plenty of tread left.) New Muffler and Tail Pipe ($266.25)All factory power options work properly, A/C has been converted properly(upper and lower sections) by an expert, serviced, cleaned and recharged last week ($248) and checked for leaks, there were none. A/C blows factory strong and Ice Cold. Brand new Battery ($164.00)
I maintain the vehicle to perfection, It is rarely driven, but I do take it out periodically for exercise. My daily car is the Mercedes seen in the garage photo. The Engine compartment is all Factory original and has never been detailed, or dressed...blue engine block color is original and shows little fading if none. Chalk marks and paint code stamps all clear and visible.
I must say as a Lincoln Mark V enthusiast for over 30 years I have only seen one other Crystal Apricot Metallic Mark V come up for Sale and never one with all this Documentation and Color combination.
