Don't miss out on this iconic custom Lincoln. Very well maintained and cared for. Priced to sale! Has been in Vegas for 2 years and was shipped in from New York. Here is some history on this true american luxury car. The restoration looks to be about 10 years old. The previous owner bought the car as is and did not complete the restoration. We welcome any inspectionsor questions.
For 1966, a number of changes came to the Continental model line. As Lincolnhad left the 2-doorluxurysegment to Cadillac and Imperial in 1961 by making the Continental exclusively a 4-door,Lincolnchose to develop its answer to theCadillac coupe de villeand theimperial crown coupeby introducing a 2-door version of the Continental, the first since 1960. Without anyrear doors, thecoupewas designed as ahardtop, although noconvertibleversion was introduced.
Although bearing a strong resemblance to its predecessor, the 1966 Continental was given exterior sheet metal and the interior was again redesigned, featuring the new options of a tape player and a tilt steering wheel. The Continental grew in size, becoming nearly 5 inches longer, an inch wider and nearly an inch taller. While curved side glass replaced flat glass, itswas less severe than in earlier models. To preserve the performance of the larger Continental, the V8 engine was expanded from 430cuin (7.0L) to 462cuin (7.6L).
