1966 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL -

CONVERTIBLE

67K ORIGINAL MILES!!

SUICIDE DOORS!!

ALL ORIGINAL - BARN FIND!!

From the President of the United States, to the wealthy business man to the to the Hollywood actor and even the working man who wouldn't settle, the Lincoln Continental was the staple and stature of excellence. Back in the 60's there were only two names in high end luxury. It was Lincoln and Cadillac. These two brands cornered the market in American luxury and this 1966 Continental has it all. And don't forget, when the top goes down, the price goes up in the collector car world. This fourth generation Continental is the model that recouped most of Lincoln's 60 million dollar loss from the third generation. It was sleeker, more powerful and more luxurious then any of the models before. This 66 was truly a barn find, and hasn't been driven in years. Please read on to find out the condition of this vehicle and let us know of any questions you may have.

Exterior:

The only thing we did to the exterior is wash the years of dust that settled on the car from sitting in storage. It appears to have one repaint that was done many, many years ago. It was repainted the original color. The tires and wheels are in excellent condition. The top was replaced 1 time many years ago as well. The bright-work still shines. There are some rust spots here and there which you can see in the pictures. Please let us know of any questions you may have.

Interior:

The interior as well is 100% original. And if you are going to leave it as a driver quality car, then a good cleaning and maybe a quality interior guy can spruce it up. The panels were removed from the upper interior windshield to try and determine why the top won't work. But we are going to leave that up to you. We are going to sell this as a driver needing tinkering and restoration. Please review the pictures of the interior and notice all the books that come with the car in the back seat. Let us know of any questions you may have.

Drive-Train:

The engine is the 462 Big Block V8. When we got the car out of storage it wouldn't start. We drained the tank and put fresh gas and battery, tinkered with the carburetor and now the car runs and stops. We did not take it on the road to test it. The motor sounds good with no taps or knocks and with only 67k miles on the car it's got many, many miles to go. Let us know of any questions you may have.

In summation, these cars when done up, command high dollars. If you are well versed in restoring these cars, this is the perfect candidate. Or if you are handy and are looking for a low budget project you can drive....and invest in, this car is for you. Please look at all the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.
