1941 Lincoln Continental Coupe' Additional Info:

Upfor Auction is our 1941 Lincoln Continental V12 Coupe'. Purchased in 2003 fromthewidow of aLincoln enthusiast in Washington, Iowa who restored ityears earlier and drove it daily until his passing in 2001. The Lincoln has been in our small collection since and has given many hours of pleasurable driving in and around New Orleans. The Lincoln has a niceoverall over all appearance, but needs someTLC and elbow grease.I just installed a new 6 volt battery a week ago and she starts instantly with no choke pullneeded. The engine runs great, but has aquiet lifter tick at idle.I installeda pair of new water pumps, radiator was reworked, rebuilt carburetor and remanufactured distributor in 2007.The interior, carpet, instrument dashpaint and headlinerare in very good condition. The black exterior paint looks good for it's ageand could use a good waxing and touch up. Thebody is ingood conditionwith typical minordings and imperfections. The bumpers are showing their age and will eventuallyneed too bere-chromed.The Lincoln isequipped with theoptional overdrive unitalso and thevacuum wiper still work! The steering wheel has several cracks in the rim and will needrefinishing and the two rear hub caps are missing. The clock does not keep timeandradio does not play. The brakes do function, but will needattention and the clutch works fine with no slip in gear.Included with the purchased of the Lincoln is 1 new brakemaster cylinder, 2 newwheel cylinders, 1 set of newbrake shoes,1bare V12 block with engine stand,3 cast iron heads,1 perfect standard crankshaft,2 axle tubes,1 alloy intake manifold,1 driveshaft torque tube,1 three speed gearbox without gear cluster, 12 -V12 connecting rods and 1 used V12 distributor.Sorry about being so long winded about the vehicle description, just trying to point out all pros and cons of the vehicle.
