1961 Lincoln
Up for sale is my rare and very clean 1961 Lincoln Continental Sedan. Perfect example of an original, rust-free California classic that's never left the state. This was the first year of the famous suicide doors. I am only the third owner to the car and it has always been very well cared for. Odometer reads just over 22k miles and I was assured by previous family that it is original since it sat in storage for over 30 years. This beauty still drives like the day it rolled off the assembly line. Clean CA title in hand ready to be transferred to a new owner. Get ready to turn heads everywhere behind the wheel of this ride!
The Lincoln comes equipped with the original 430ci big block engine and 3-speed automatic transmission. Runs excellent and shifts smooth into all gears. It has lots of power and picks up fairly quick for such a large car (320hp / 465 lb-ft). The suspension, power steering, and power brakes all work excellent and the car feels safe at any speed. No squeaks or rattles when driving and the power-train runs very smooth as any Lincoln should. The leather seats were reupholstered a few years ago by the previous owners and I recently replaced the carpet, headliner, and trunk carpet with a custom tire cover. Car was painted about 4 years ago in a nice two-stage black that still looks great. As I mentioned before, it has all original rust-free sheet metal throughout including deck lid, floor pans, doors, and hood (these cars are notorious for rust issues). This Lincoln has never been in an accident either. Doors open and close with ease and line up perfectly. Original glass all around in great shape as well. All 4 power windows work well (rebuilt window motors and switches recently). Rest of the electrical is in good shape as well including the front power bench seat, dash gauges, all the lights, windshield wipers, and horn. Lots of the chrome was redone at the time of paintjob including the door handles, all the emblems, rear 3-piece bumper, and trunk trim. Known issues; I removed the A/C compressor to have it rebuilt but never got around to doing it so that will need to get addressed if you want cold air, the original AM radio needs a new dash speaker, and the pneumatic door looks only work manually.
The Lincoln is available for inspection by any serious bidder during the auction week, just message me with your phone number and I will call you to set up an appointment. As all other classic cars it is being sold in AS IS condition. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything prior to bidding. This is a NO RESERVE listing and the car will go to the highest bidder no matter what. View my feedback and bid with confidence. Thanks for viewing my listing
