1970 Land Rover Santana Series IIA

Offered for sale is a beautifully restored 1970 Land Rover Santana Series IIA, manufactured in Spain and originally delivered new to Colombia.

This Land Rover spent approximately 40 years with the same owner, becoming a long-term part of the family. Following his passing, the family made the decision to restore the truck from the ground up rather than simply sell it in its existing condition.

The result is a comprehensive body-off restoration, carried out as a family project with the assistance of some of Colombia's most experienced Land Rover specialists. The goal was to preserve the character and authenticity of the vehicle while returning it to excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.

Importantly, the truck retains its original 2.3-liter engine and original transmission. The chassis, body, mechanical components, interior, and finishes were addressed as part of the restoration.

Santana built Land Rovers under license in Spain, and these vehicles developed an excellent reputation for their durability and capability. Many were exported to markets where a Land Rover was still very much a working vehicle, including Colombia. This example represents that history particularly well: a Spanish-built Series IIA that has spent its entire life in Colombia and remained with one owner for four decades before receiving a complete restoration.

The truck is currently located in Colombia, but the asking price includes transportation to the continental United States and U.S. registration, making the process considerably easier for its next owner.

It will also be delivered with a brand-new canvas top.

This is an opportunity to acquire a distinctive Series IIA with an unusually well-documented personal history, original drivetrain, and a restoration that was undertaken not simply for resale, but as a family project to preserve a vehicle that had been part of their lives for decades.
