1993 UK Campbox
This trailer was actually hand built by a coachbuilder on a Sankey chassis (British military utility trailer) in 2019. However, it needed to have a VIN plate to be registered in the US. So one was made and attached and it was assigned a "model year" so that it was of age to enter. It will also come with a Georgia title.
Features:
• European style "hook and loop" hitch system
• Matching color and Rhino-lining
• Matching wheels and tires
• External spot lights
• Roof rails for attaching a tent or cargo basket
• Solar panel for battery support
• New marine battery
• Diesel heater
• CO2 detector
• Cabinets and in floor storage
• Cook top and sink
• Power outlets
• Leveling system
• External water bottle for shower
It's a 34 year old Land Rover, so it's going to have some general signs of age.
• The paint has some bubbling in a few spots, but it's from the bedliner not being uniform by nature and releasing air bubbles (these are NOT rust bubbles).
• The shop that did the engine build broke the passenger side door lock surround.
• The switch wasn't changed from a 3 position to a 4 position when the motor was swapped which means you have to hold it for a minute to allow the glow plugs to heat up fuel when it hasn't been started in awhile (starts fine after that).
• Rear crossmember needs to be replaced. According to the MOTs, it's structural rigidity is not compromised, but it does have rust through. Thankfully, that's an easier process on a 90 because you don't have to drop the gas tank.
• Exhaust is rusted through post cat (easily wrappable)
• Spare tire carrier has surface rust
• Brackets that held the roof rack on were eaten through so I removed it for safety. I will include the rack, mounting hardware, and the only bracket that was savable for a template, but it will need new brackets.
• Exhaust heat has caused bedlining to chip and crack after the exhaust. Should high bidder so desire, I can install a diamond plate plate behind it with high temp paint to cover the cracks and shield against the heat.
Trust me when I say, you won't ever find another pair like this. And I will only sell as a pair. This is a unique opportunity to own an appreciating asset that you can actually use. I am a motivated seller happy to help arrange overseas shipping, but please please please no time wasters. Only bid if you have the funds to pay. $1000.00 deposit due within 24 hours of auction close. Full amount due within three days. It is listed elsewhere so I do reserve the right to end the auction early. I am a rural carrier for the USPS, so if the fact that it's right hand drive scares you, don't worry! If you pick it up in person, I will offer a free 30 minute lesson on how to drive a manual RHD vehicle. It's easier than you think. I'm sure I missed things, but if you have questions, I will respond to emails, but I'll respond faster to 6. 7. 8. 4. 9. 2. 8. 2. 7. 7.
