1991 Land Rover Range Rover Great Divide Edition
If you're not familiar with the rarity of this vehicle, we highly recommend digging into the world of the Great Divide Edition Trek done in 1991. I spent 4-5 years searching for a Great Divide Edition in this condition, very solid and worthy of a light restoration. This specific car finally appeared to me in Southern Oregon, in which I purchased and transported back to Portland. The car sat for a year or so, as I have very limited free time. I threw some new Falken tires on it in the hopes of motivating me to start cracking away at it however I feel as though its best off in someone else's care. Car was parked for 5-6 years prior to my purchase. These are extremely rare, so finding one in this condition is highly uncommon.
This Rover is very solid, some light corrosion from water pooling on the floor pans. No holes. The rest of the car is rock solid, as it lived in dry climate its whole life. Some electronics work, Im guessing the fuses and relays need a good going through. Car will fire up with a touch of starter fluid (guessing weak fuel pump) and idle very well after some convincing. No overheating, engine sounds fantastic and very healthy. Transmission shifts great, however has a good leak at the bell-housing. It does feel like its driving in 2wd, a little too peppy. Prior owner mentioned he thinks an axle broke in the housing, so that will need going through. ABS is unplugged as it will need a new seal, wants to build pressure but leaks quite a bit of fluid.
Front windows work, seats have some adjustments. Sunroof with pop up but not slide. Lights all work. Body is straight with some light denting but everything can be PDR'ed with the right hands. Paint is faded but can polish up nicely. Engine bay looks fantastic as does underside. We do have a Replica OEM GDE rear lower hatch decal that is new and ready for mounting.
Overall a fantastic project car with amazing bones. Fully original.
We can assist in transporting anywhere in the US. Clean Oregon title in hand.
