Coming out of World War II the Land Rover Series I, II, and III were Britain's answer to the United States built Willys Jeep. First made in 1948, Land Rover claimed in 1992 that 70% of all the Land Rovers built up to that point were still being used. The Series IIA is considered the most sturdy model ever created. It also possesses the classic look that many think of Land Rover for from appearances in popular films and documentaries set in Africa. These were built to cruise down whatever was underneath the wheels whether it was a road or not, and it's a job they have done really well.
