PLEASE NOTE: Above pics are prior to being detailed or having final touch up by painter... This Defender has undergone quite an extensive restoration from the frame up, and was built to be the epitome of the multifaceted Land Rover Defender. A soft top 5-door wagon with comfortable Exmoor Elite seating combined with the convenience of a V-8 engine and automatic transmission within a galvanized frame and 4- wheel disc brakes facilitates both the weekend adventures/beach days/expeditions with the duties of daily driver life!! So, the first obvious question- why am I selling? After 27 years of driving Defenders, and building countless examples (a few of which can be seen at theRVRbarn), I myself have been rebuilt with numerous joint replacements and reconstruction. So, the liquidation of my Rovers continues. This particular vehicle was to be the one I planned to keep, but my family has vetoed me and we are keeping the custom Tithonus... And so without further distraction, please find below an outlined spec sheet of what went into this build. She started as a one owner vehicle from the UK, then legally imported and titled in the US. The restoration/build took place to make her much more compatible with the demands of travel here in the States. And to breathe new life into the old girl- starting with a full cage and soft top!! I do not run a stereo in my trucks, but know that many folks do- but impossible to please everyone. As such, I would rather leave it out for the individual to fit, thus not destroying the interior for no reason. EXTRAS/KIT:-new 5-bar anodized wing protectors-new swing away tire carrier w/ correct 35" spare-new stainless steel door sills to prevent paint scrapes/scratches upon entering at all 4 doors-galvanized front bumper Please do not hesitate to request additional information or ask questions. The above criteria was selected for it's proven reliability and reputation in the Land Rover community and real world experiences. Now for the realities of the situation. This is a serious for sale ad/listing/auction, and as such, I do not have the luxury of time for fake bids and time wasters, so please- serious bidders only!! Also, pre-bid inspection is welcome, and in fact- encouraged!! Your bid is an offer to buy, not an invitation to come take a look/see after the auction. And lastly, this is a 28 year old Land Rover, and though restored, is still sold as is/where is with no warranty of any type- expressed or implied! |
