1988 Land Rover Range Rover Additional Info:
1988 Land Rover - Range Rover Classic SWB
Selling my partially-restored, functional, daily driving, well-loved and well-used adventure machine. Selling due to career change that no longer gives me time/resources to work on trucks or take extended adventures like I used to.
I bought this Rangie from my neighbor who had owned since 1990. I have most of the maintenance records dating back to original import to US. I also have the shop service manual. I began converting this RRC to an adventure rig capable of daily driving, off-road and overland trips. Most of the big items have been taken care of but it is still what I would call a functional project that will still benefit from additional work as true with most things Land Rover. This would be a great candidate for someone that wants less than a full-scale restoration project but still wants a project, or someone that has a cosmetically-excellent Range Rover Classic but needs mechanical components and extra goodies.
Clean and clear title in-hand for the new owner.
The engine has almost 3,000 miles on it.The transmission has about 138,000 miles on it.The body has about 283,xxx miles on it.

Areas that need still attention:- Front driver side hood corner has a small trail dent.- Steering column plastic needs some repair. Plastic is good but the fasteners cracked or broke.- Front pax and rear pax window switches are INOP. Likely need clean or replacement.- Sunroof open/close switch works but likely needs cleaning as it takes several presses to fully open or close the sunroof. Motor and seal are good.- Front windscreen has cracks in non-critical areas. Might want to replace if not going to be a trail vehicle.- Front driver seat has a torn seam in the seat cushion (see photo)- Shifter plastic is torn. Shifter console face needs new fasteners. (see photo)- Right rear pax door lock gets stuck and needs to be manual unlocked- Shock bushings could use replacing- Driver power seat control needs new face plate (see photo)- Both catalytic converters are hollow and need to be replaced if wanting to pass emissions (EFI light on), vehicle is currently exempt where I live.- Rust in front pax side fender and pax footwell. Has been sanded and painted. Would benefit from repair and/or replacement. - Air conditioning is INOP and likely needs replacement if wanted up and running again.- Blinkers are currently manual operation. Relay and/or connector may need replacement. I might get around to this in the near future but manual blinking has been fine.- Does have some lite oil leaks as per usual with anything Land Rover.- Tires need to be replaced. Tread is good but rubber is old and cracking. A few have a slow leak and require topping up air about once a month.- Lost stereo face plate. Deck is a newer Alpine Bluetooth CD/Multimedia stereo.
