1993 Land Rover Range Rover Sport sport Additional Info:
Rare 1993 Range Rover Sport model, one of only 200 manufactured worldwide (according to my research on line). 1993 was the last year Land Rover was really an authentic Land Rover, ...British owned. Vehicle was loved and cared for, spending almost all of the years parked out of the sunshine when not in use. I have all records since new, being serviced at Land Rover in Portland mostly.Air suspension was converted to springs when a larger, pre owned 4.2 Range Rover Engine was installed by Colombia Rovers in Portland in 2009. The truck is void of rust, particularly in the vulnerable tailgate. Interior in amazing shape.. little fading to wood or trim or leather. Sunroof and all windows are in great shape, working order. The back hatch is in very good condition, replaced a few years ago when a few defrost wires stopped working.. The windscreen was replaced with a new authentic screen (has the tiny wires in the entire glass screen so it is completely heated in the winter.. One of the best amazing features). The backseat door seals and door trim is in perfect shape (also a typical issue of failure). This was my daily driver until about 5 years.. Now the truck is not driven enough so it is time to go, time to be totally restored and loved by someone else. Despite issues it runs well and is the most comfortable vehicle to travel in.
There are issues that need addressing: Headliner is sagging like they ALL do after a time, driver door latch needs fixing (spring is bad or something), power steering is probably fine but I think there is a leak in a hose, had the ABS breaks redone (new pump) so it should be totally good, the battery needs replacing, air conditioning was working .. had the heater core redone a few years ago (huge expense) but there seems to be a electric issue with the control for the fan now.. the big expense removing the entire dash to replace the heater core that always happens is already done. The mirrors and seats did all work but now the drivers seat won't power recline?? odd.. I think many of these issues are easy fixes... relays.. or switch issues... The fog lights seem to now have a short.. both were working just fine until I stopped driving each day.
You will also get the original other 4 wheels that were standard that I used just for the winter with winter tires for first couple years. The truck has the upgraded 5 spoke star alloy wheels from that era which have virtually brand new tires. You will also get a removable trailer hitch ball. Also, the mats are the upgraded rubber variety ( I still have the carpet mats that came with the truck). Also have chains for mountain travel if the DOT requires you CARRY them.. included. The back cargo cover is in perfect shape also (usually destroyed or in terrible shape).
Fantastic Vehicle for a collector or just someone wanting to put a little effort into bringing back a gorgeous black classic Range Rover. Local pick up or will help for delivery options considered.
