1992 Land Rover Defender Pickup Additional Info:
This is the nicest Land Rover that I've ever owned and I have used it as my daily driver for the last year. I'm running low on garage space now- and can't stand to put her outside- so it's time for a new owner to love this truck.
I bought this Land Rover as the best example of a Defender I could find and brought her to Washington State. She had only 63,000 miles on the clock and a fresh restoration when she arrived. She currently has 72,607 miles on the odometer. This Land Rover starts on the first turn of the key every time and runs perfectly. The steering and suspension is tight, and she drives hands-off down the highway. She turns heads everywhere she goes, and hauls everything I load her up with while averaging almost 30mpg.
This low mileage Defender has always been in the pickup configuration, and lived a protected life away from the coast and corrosion. There are no weld repairs on the chassis, bulkheads or door bottoms- and is overall a beautiful original example of a 110 Defender. The restoration included new paint to a 10/10 standard, replacing every part of the interior with new Exmoor Trim, and refreshing the suspension. The 200tdi engine makes great power and burns no oil. I recently put a snorkel on- but it is easily removed if it's not your style.
Since I've had her in Washington State the only problems I've had are a broken clutch fork - which was professionally replaced, together with a new clutch and pressure plate while they were in there, and a couple electrical inops- which our local British shop went through and sorted out. There are 2 or 3 small rock chips on the front facia, some peeling bedliner from hauling stuff, and a couple tiny aluminum oxidation bubbles in the paint from its last year of use.
With 10,000 miles of driving this Land Rover - I can confidently say that is is a well sorted, beautiful and reliable Land Rover that will take you anywhere for many years to come.
Included is the full service history, a set of half doors which I had painted to match the truck for top-off summer driving, and two sets of brand new Land Rover jump seats for hauling a load of people in the back.I'm happy to help with shipping, or fly into Spokane and we'll give you a tour and a place to stay before you drive it home.
