It was built in the Solihull factory in Birmingham in the UK and was first sold to Messrs JH Bennett and Son in Wales on 22nd February 1993. They owned the car for over 22 years before selling it onto James Burch in Littlehampton, West Sussex in UK. He owned the car for just under 3 years before I purchased it. Prior to my ownership, it has been repainted Silver with a Black roof. I would guess this was completed around 5-10 years ago.
During my ownership and prior to shipping to the US, I have completed the following work:
Rebuilt gearbox with uprated internals to keep matching number
New transfer box
New centre diff
New clutch
New timing belt
New LED turn signals
Headlining re-trimmed
New bonnet release cable
New tail gate cable supports and latches
New rear mud flaps
New door hinges
New interior floor mats
There are part service records showing the following recent work being completed prior to my ownership:
87,459 miles - chassis wax oiled
88,950 miles - swivel rebuilt x 2
90,475 miles - new radiator
Having moved here recently from the UK, I brought the truck with me into the US and it is currently based in Laguna Niguel, Southern California. It was was legally imported into the US via San Diego from Southampton and I am the original importer. I have all the importation documentation (DOT / EPA / CPB) showing all relevant duties paid, with Customs and Border Protection inspection completed with correct release documents.
The VIN plate on brake booster and chassis are in order with corresponding numbers matching all importation papers.
The truck is is great condition but you have to bear in mind this is a 25 year old truck! Mechanically the truck is excellent and it drives beautifully. From a maintenance perspective, it wants for nothing with the exception of a very minor oil leak from the lower sump gasket that could be easily fixed, I’ve simply not got round to it.It was recently inspected by Eurp West Rovers in Costa Mesa, California and given the all clear.
I drive it locally at weekends only so the mileage will slowly increase.
It is great fun to drive to cars and coffee and down PCH and turns more heads than cars 10 times its value!
Any inspection is welcome and if you would like any additional pictures or have any questions, please do let me know.
