1974 Land Rover Defender Additional Info:
THIS IS NOT A 'DEFENDER' I dont do ebay much but there was no series category.
Ill be getting some recent photos up soon but selling this on the low side due to some work needed. lets start with the bad;bulkhead outriggers and rear shockmounts need to be replaced. Frame is solid otherwiseRear diff sealfront axle needs a rebuild and hole in front cover needs to be addresssedOne 2nd row upper door hinge needs to be replaced.Body has acquired some minor dings on door edges and one in drivers side door panel.Tank is new but needs to be dropped to porperly seal up fuel return.Brakes need adjustment on the cams, no leaks and drums and pads are in great shapeclutch slave cylinder needs replacing. I have the seals and the cylinder and spare for the truck.I have been driving this as is and its ok, but these items do need to be addressed at some point in the near future. Tires are a year old, parabolic springs are a year old and great. Frame bushes are fine, Engine has new injection pump and runs well, it does weep as most of these things do. Propshafts are custom built to accomodate an LT77 LT230 transmission setup. This shifts fine, is quiet and doesnt leak. X-Brake disc brake conversion. Warn 8274 winch on modified 3/16" galv mayflower winch bumper w/synthetic line. All lights work as they should and issues from the romp with overheating and injection lines have been addressed. Front seats are re-foamed / recovered exmoor defender seats, rear are highback exmoor. Repro Wolf 90 roll bar for 3 point belts for left and right rear seats, lap belt for center. This has been my daily driver for 17 years and my needs and time to do the work have changed. The reason for the sale is this; I purchased a 110 defender perentie to use as a base for this setup and when it got here I couldnt bring myself to break either apart. My needs were in the driveline of the Perentie and so I decided to keep it as is and sell my 109.
