Land Rover Defender 90 2.5 Turbo Diesel– Thousands spent, must have iconic 4x4 with an attitude. Has original engine and gearbox. Please no time wasters!
Welcome to my listing.TheLand Rover Defender is possibly one of the most iconic vehicles that have ever been produced. Believe me it’s more than just a truck, it has had a massive presence in the UK and around the world being used within the army, safari, off road activities and now more and more visible within our towns & cities. The look and feel cannot be compared to a normal 4x4 this Defender really has a personality… they are becoming more rare and sought after. The car has gone under a unique conversion externally and internally. Most of the parts are almost similar to the 2012 onward models, not much has changed, place this next to later version and you will not see the difference.
A bit about the exterior…
It sits on a set of 4 brand new GT Radial Adventuro tyres with black steel gloss wheels, there is no marks on the wheels and is in brilliant condition. The bulk head and chassis is in good condition. No doubt there probably has been work done over the years but I don’t have a full insight of this. The chequer plates, side steps, mirrors and roof have been done in black as contrast. The bonnet has been replaced for a supercharged aftermarket style bonnet, with bold lettering to the front and rear. The front grill has been uplifted to a custom design in gloss black; beneath this a front bumper has been customised to incorporate 4 day time running lights at the start of the ignition. All the indicator lights have been changed to the clear LED version with the correct resistors. The main beam lights are bright DRL’s when switched to full beam, the quad led in the bumper turn off. Privacy tints have been applied to the front a lighter version and respectively darker to rear windows. Chequer plate has been added to the top of the bonnet and around the side and back. Custom side and air vents have been replaced giving it a more aggressive but modern look.
A bit about the interior…
The interior of the car is black and its looks fresh with 2 new Recaro style bucket seats that are rather comfy once you get accustomed to the Defender. Plush new black carpet has been added to the front the rear andA new headliner. The middle seat was taken out and replaced with a cubby box that has been customised to match the diamond style stitching throughout the 4x4. The whole theme of the interior has a diamond stitch and white piping theme. Again the rear door and section where two White style speakers have been added with a diamond style covering. The interior light has been replaced with led lights beaming down onto the rear seats. The car benefits from double din DVD player with reversing camera and bluetooth to connect your phone (lots of other features i.e. USB port connection, radio, MP3. The DVD unit is housed in a custom central unit, the whole of the interior panels, dash and visors are in black.
Mechanical…
The 4x4 drives fine with a good engine and gearbox, the engine turns on every start you might find a small puff of smoke but this is common on this age of the vehicle, this is only on start-up and is fine when running. The original gearbox and engine remain and has good amount of service history to back up the work.New fuel tank.Overall this Defender has been cared for and never taken off road. The heaters function correctly and the 4x4 gets warm internally with no issues.
Service History…
The car has covered approx. 97k with approx 4 owners.
