This is a very special vehicle that is built to astandardmuch higherthanwhen it originallycame offthe assembly line at Solihull. The Defender is one of the most iconic vehicles ever built, with a huge following of hardcore enthusiasts. These vehicles are known throughout the world for the amazing off-road and utilitarian capabilities.Unfortunately,in theUS,you were only able to get one from 94-98. They were brought to the US to expand the model line and highlight the new Discovery. They were imported in very limited quantities, and only with the gasoline engine.
Arkonik is known throughout the world as the authority in Defenders. They are the only ones to preserve the originality of how they were built, so they can legallybroughtto the US. What you get is a completely legally, imported vehicle that is brand new by all standards. They start with a donor vehicle with matching number engine and chassis It is then completely rebuilt down to every last nut and bolt. Most all the body is replaced with new, including the bulkhead. The engine and drive-trainisfully rebuilt and blueprinted. The chassis is fully restored, WaOyld for rust protection, and then treated with Raptor finish bed liner to make it resilient to all of the elements. The entire electrical system is redone, including new, upgraded gauges. The suspension of this Defender 90 has a Terrafirma 2 upgrade for thelargerKahn 1983 wheels and BFG all terrain tires.
The engine is a 200 TDI turbocharged diesel engine, considered in Land Rover circles as the best one built. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and locking transfer case. It has great torque and smooth running power. All new internals and upgrades are done. Blueprint machining, plus brand new turbo and complete exhaust system. These engines run very well in all conditions. The locking transfer case will get you up any mountain you want to climb.
The interior is completely bespoke, with fine leather, suede headliner, and Mercedes carpet. Custom Momo steering wheel, locking center console complete the look. The door panels are leather covered, with all alloy handles andpulls. The leather quilted diamond seats are heated. Another great upgrade over the original is the modern Air Conditioning system. This D90 has an upgraded custom sound system as well.
The exterioris finishis painted to show car standards. This Arkonik has custom paint, Adventure Edition Metallic Orange. There is not another one like it. The body is completely redone with upgrades like the raised Puma hood in contrasting black. It is loaded with LEDlighting,and full roof rack. On the front is a 1200lb Warn winch with synthetic rope, mounted on anoff-roadbumper. The rear bumper is all redone with an extending step. The extra bits on the outside are provided by KBX, removing all the plastic cheap bits withhigh-qualityanodized alloy. Black Fire and Ice side steps are installed for protection and ease getting in and out.

Interior
Nothing on the inside is kept. All is replaced for new, albeit the dash has to be of original styling.
