1971 Land Rover Defender -- Additional Info:
Up for sale is a VERY RARE 1971 Land Rover Defender Series III 109 4x4 Lwb. Rare 4 cylinder 4 speed with Overdrive and Safari roof. Highly Collectible and hard to find series III first year station wagon. I have seen one other 1971 in the last six months for sale. Listed on Hemmings and It was a Whopping $100,000! Of course it was fully restored. 1971 Was the first these Beauties where imported. An SUV that was built to go anywhere. Very Primitive and built that way! We have driven her and everything seems fine with the exception of the Reverse syncro. If it even is supposed to have one? She has started right up every time we got in her. 30 degrees or 70 degrees outside. Everything that we have tried seems to work. The body is straight and the interior is good with the drivers seat needing recovered. There is some minimal rust in different areas. Mostly Back Bumper and small area on drivers side floor. Nothing is Structural and there is no rust that can not be repaired.
