1972 Lancia Fulvia 1.3 Series 2 Additional Info:
Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1.3 Rallye Series 2 / 1972 / LHD / Low Italian Owners & KM’s - Superb Time Warp Condition @ $24,500.
We are truly privileged to offer to the market this time warp, original & highly desirable Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1.3 Rallye Series 2 (Model 818.630). This is an Italian home market black plate 1972 model, first registered on 2nd November 1972 in Terni, Italy.
It retains its matching numbers 1298cc motor, being UK tax & MOT exempt & comes complete with the original Italian green log book.
This incredible find is a low owner car & has a low mileage from new of 68,202 KM’s – (42,378 Miles). This is confirmed as correct by the long term Italian owner. The car speaks for its self however, having only been repainted once to date in our workshops on arrival in the original factory colour of Grigio Chiaro Met 614-198L.
This fantastic example was handpicked by myself on a recent visit to Terni, a city in the Southern portion of the Region of Umbria in Central Italy, 65 Miles northeast of Rome. If ever there was a truly beautiful location this must win the award.
The current knowledgeable owner of advancing years has cherished this Fulvia & kept it in a conserved state, using it on a regular basis for weekly family outings & to local Lancia & club events.
Registration number TR 93114 was certainly a good preserved example when we viewed it, but with the ever venerable front floor pans showing signs of minor local repair. The rest of the vehicle being in very good structural order however. It even wore mostly the original Lancia factory under seal.
The paint was original & conserved, but showing small scratches & fading from age over the years. So we decided to undertake a sympathetic light restoration here in our Kent workshop on arrival, prior to offering it to the market by undertaking the following works:
Our metal work fabricator expertly cut out the 2No. Front floor pans, with pictures taken as we went, so the new owner can see the time & trouble we took to make them perfect. The fabricator also fitted new floors & a new boot floor to my Pagoda earlier this year & his workmanship is exception! He fitted 2No. new premium Italian full front floor pans with the correct factory rib pattern. We primed & then sprayed them internally & primed & stone chipped them externally. These will now outlive the car!
We also undertook a full external repaint in the original Grigio Chiaromet 614-189L colour to a professional standard. We took copious photos of the car at the various stages of preparation. As expected the vehicle was found to be in great structural condition & hiding no horrors or poor past workmanship.
Our works included in brief a strip of the vehicle, full preparation & repair as required of the bodywork, ready for a full respray, including the door shuts, boot shut, engine bay shut & inner faces of the bonnet & boot etc. The Lancia wheels were already refinished to a good standard & had period correct new matching tyres refitted. The headlining was refinished by our associated specialist. The new exhaust was also refitted. We removed the Solex carbs & had them sonically cleaned & then we rebuilt them with a new full carb kit from Ricambio International Ltd. We fitted a new N/S outer CV boot, N/S top ball joint & we fixed the heater & horn, aligned the steering wheel, did a full engine service including Premium coil, NGK plugs, HT leads, air filter, fuel filter, points, condenser, distributor cap, coolant change along with a tune, just to be sure! We applied Wurth spray gun applied underseal after photographing the underside prior to keep it structurally perfect for the next 46 years ahead.
We also fully detailed the vehicle including a full 3M machine polish of the new glorious paintwork & fresh MOT to complete along with refitting the Italian front & rear number plate holders. Fitted a period correct decal kit, undertook a detailed interior deep clean & filled the fuel with $50 of super unleaded. This stunning car is ready to show or just use on a daily basis. It would make you proud in either circumstance. The car is on the button & ready to go & show or just enjoy…
