1986 Jeep Wagoneer Additional Info:
I bought the gold Grand Wagoneer about three years ago and have been driving it to work since. It runs and drives great. Since I bought it the body has just wasted away, so I got a rust free body from Arizona delivered to me to do a swap of the drivetrain into. Fast forward to today I really need a vehicle that is good on fuel as I will now be making frequent trips out of state in the coming years.
The engine is a Jasper engine with an Edelbrock aluminum intake and a Holley carb, it has the Ford TFI ignition upgrade and an MSD 6 box. The 360 has had a new water pump, starter and has a cs144 alternator upgrade. The radiator, master cylinder, brake booster, battery. The jeep also has brand new armored brake lines that need to be put on during axle swap. The Jeep also has a less than year old exhaust, it includes new Hedman headers and a 2.5 Flowmaster "Y" into 3" exhaust pipe then muffler with a Flowmaster 3" tailpipe kit. all the way back the vast majority of which is Flowmaster parts, the muffler is a Thrush brand and all mandrel bends.
Misc. new parts include the following. Lap belts for rear bench seat were replaced with new shoulder belts. Has Reese type hitch. Engine wiring harness was taken apart and painstakingly reworked for flawless service. Ignition switch was also replaced with in the last year. New radio and speakers tailgate window track and gaskets have all been replaced goes up and down fine but could use some fine tuning for smoother operation. LED lights have replaced all standard bulbs in cabin.
Parts that will go with Jeep are new kick panels, new door grab handles, new thermostat housing and more I am sure I have forgotten.
The paint and body were done prior to me and the previous owner didn't do a good job, the clear coat is coming off I was gonna strip it and paint it flat green. Could use some exterior metal repairs from rust. It no longer has the 86 grille in it, it has the round headlight cheese grater (AKA Boobie grille) in it. The pics are all recent so it is how it sits right now.
The 727 transmission shifts great.
The transfer case is a 228 which does not have the viscous coupler like the 229. The axles are both Dana 44's with 3.73 gears and the rear axle has a locker in it. The Jeep sits on 4 inches of lift with Pro comp 33" tires under it. The interior is complete although not pretty, the seats need refinished, I was just going to replace them with Corbeau seats.
The tub of the gold one is shot, there are some salvageable parts for spares or to sell off and a couple things like the bumpers and grille need to be moved to the silver body when the drivetrain swap occurs.
Speaking of drivetrain swaps, that will be up to the buyer. I am not doing it, if I have to do it I will just keep it myself and buy something else to drive.
I will not give this away there is a reserve that I will not disclose. Buy it now price is not the reserve price. I have the titles for bodies free and clear.
Pick up and/or shipping is on the buyer.
As I remember details I will add them below this point in the ad.
