1959 Jeep CJ5 in largely original condition. Purchased from granddaughter of original owner in Washington, GA. Starts and runs well. New fuel tank, fuel lines, and NOS carburetor. New brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and rear brake shoes, valve cover gasket, and gas filler grommet. Painted once in 1974 in correct Fountain Green. Top and top frame and doors included (fabric is in tatters). Vacuum wipers and horn work. Garage stored from 1982 until 2015.
Alternator is non-original. Mileage is approximately 107,500.
Vehicle is sold with bill of sale. I do NOT have title, and it is NOT required in Georgia on vehicles over twenty-five years old. You can apply for title in your state with a Georgia bill of sale.
HAVE NO ILLUSIONS! This vehicle is 57 years old and is NOT show quality or just like new. It is merely a good, fairly unmolested Jeep that was used as a Jeep in the North Georgia Mountains and around Wilkes County. PLEASE inspect the photos CAREFULLY. There is damage to the right rear corner where it rolled downhill into a tree in 1981. There is perforation under the factory front floor mat, but very little. My '55 Desoto which has been garaged its entire life has more floorboard rust than this Jeep does.
Thank you.
