The 1992 Jeep Wrangler / Yj is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior, interior, and drivetrain. It has been in the owner's possession for 3 years and is primarily used for weekend drives. The vehicle is in black color and has a mileage of 110,000 miles. With a clean title.

Vehicle Details

Solid, unfinished Jeep YJ project with a powerful and reliable Chevy 350 V8 / TH350 drivetrain. I’ve put a lot of money and new parts into this one, but I have to sell due to college expenses.

Powertrain

• Chevy 350 V8 (out of a C10) with TH350 transmission

• Professionally timed and tuned at a shop

• New valve covers

• New distributor assembly

• New spark plugs and wires

• New racing alternator

• New power steering pump

• Fresh paint on the engine block

• New engine mounts

• TH350 has new clutches, new output shaft, new rear main seal, and adapter plate for the Jeep transfer case

• Transfer case has a new input shaft and seal

• Driveshafts have been extended, cut, and professionally balanced

The engine and transmission run and drive excellent. I recently drove it to five mile and back to Draper with no issues. I did some off-roading there. This is a strong, reliable foundation you can drive as-is while you finish the rest of the build.

What Still Needs Finishing

• Gauges need to be wired

• Exhaust (currently has a minor leak)

• Shifter for the transmission and transfer case. Vaccum hookup for front diff.

• Power steering needs final hookup

• Some wiring cleanup

• Transmission pan gasket is leaking (pan was recently redone — leak is from tight clearance with the exhaust)

• Known gas tank gasket leak only when the tank is completely topped off on a hill (does not leak if not filled all the way)

This is a very solid starting point for a fun V8 YJ. Most of the hard and expensive work is already done — the drivetrain is strong, a lot of new parts are already installed, and it drives well. Ideal for someone who wants a capable project without starting from a complete shell. And plans to off-road.

It’s geared quite low and is perfect for off-roading. The engine has 110000 miles. The actual body and odometer say 180k or so.
