1988 Jeep Wrangler SAHARA Additional Info:

Hello everyone,
My father had his Jeep a 1988 Jeep Wrangler YJ Sahara automatic transmission and from the photos you can tell things are added. He passed away 8 months ago. The car runs fine and my Dad use to use it all the time, it was his toy since 2017. It's in very good condition from what I can tell. It does have a lot of miles on it at 225,532. I tried to read up on the vehicle a little and also to get an idea of price. It's suppose to be a desirable model and trim. From what I can read a decent price is around $5k-$8k if in good driver condition. I read it can be even higher if its excellent. But rust can really bring the price down. For one thing I have looked the car over and I don't see any major amount of rust which is important. I have seen a extremely small amount of dotted rust spots under the windshield and also some edges of paint have very small blemishes of rust. It again drives fine and just a month before my Dad's passing he was driving the Jeep around without any problems...I have driven it a little also recently. My Dad liked to keep his stuff clean. I want to give as much details as I can, but honestly myself and my mother don't know a darn really about cars especially Jeeps. So please I want to tell you as much as I can about the car, but please understand my mother and myself do not know the ins and outs so don't hold it against us please. My father had it serviced a year ago by a sharp guy he met in Oregon who really knows Jeeps & knows all that was done to it, so in being transparent and also luckily being in contact with the guy he provided us details of exactly what work he did on the Jeep Back in June 2025. He provided us some written details, they are below:
1. Stock feedback carburetor updated with new Weber.2. Float, idle, linkage adjusted.3. Nutter bypass performed, all connections soldered and shrink tubed.4. Timing adjusted.
Lastly the front driveshaft is not on this Jeep. I think my dad removed it for towing the Jeep with his RV. I cannot locate the part. I have no reason to believe all else in 4x4 drive train isn't OK, but no way to confirm this. Drives fine in rear wheel drive. The price has been adjusted to reflect.
We also just got a duplicate title and its transfered into my Moms name being the surviving spouse and...we didn't have the title...the car is titled clean in California. You as the new owner can just take the Jeep into the your States DMV and get it all done: VIN inspection (if needed), your States title, registered, and plates. We are actually in Oregon, this car doesn't need to be smogged and know what the laws are in your State regarding smogging. Also I am listing this Jeep, but it is owned by my Mother. Since she is the one transferring ownership to you she will be receiving your payment, just as FYI.
