1979 Jeep Wagoneer Additional Info:

1979 Jeep Wagoneer Good project vehicle. 350 Chevy and THM400 AT 4x4 I have driven daily on/off for 2-years as a commuter. Drives "straight" Very easy to start. No coolant or oil smoke in exhaust.

Vehicle Details

Parked it after a transmission leak and low groaning sound, needs towed and repaired.

I do not know if this is a transmission, transfer case, U-joint, bearing, or axle issue.

The U-joint may have hit the edge of the transmission?

Needs exhaust donut gaskets tightened or replaced.

Chevy 350 V-8 (from 87 truck?)

Edelbrock 650cfm Carb

CS-130 Alternator

TH-400 Transmission (Rebuilt 2 years)

Power Steering

ATV heater, Fan Switch Works

Heater works, although dash control not hooked up

Rear window works

Wipers work

Brakes are good

BF Goodrich tires are less than 2-years old.

Headliner: Rust-treated, Dynomat layer, Foam layer FRP ceiling

New dome lights

New electric fuel pump

New gas lines

New starter

New rubber gaskets on roof rack

New rubber brake hoses

Gabriel coil-over lifting shocks

Bright LED headlights

All lights have been replaced with LEDs

2.5" single exhaust through 24" glass pack.

Aftermarket instrument cluster under dash is not hooked up

Axles and transfer case have had fluid replaced

"New means 2-years old or less"

Floor boards are rusty but have had patch panels installed.

If not started every few days, the battery will need to be charged.

An in-line resistor forms the exciter circuit in lieu of using the dash lamp that typically performs this function.

No oil or coolant smoke in the exhaust.

Leaking AT fluid will cause some smoke when the motor gets warm.

Rear tailgate does not have a key and/or operable locky cylinder.

(Roll the window down with the dash switch, then lower the tailgate down with two hands. These tailgates weigh a few hundred pounds and will break the glass if you do not lower the gate slowly)
