Why deal with rust and look for extras like running boards and a full top. Save time and aggravation with this great jeep. No diamond plate cover up here. This Vietnam era USAF military theme gets lots of complements - no rubber duckies on this big guy. Current state inspection. Odometer shows just under 49,000 miles, of which I've driven about 5,000 since 2016 mostly for special functions and short trips. Cold after-market AC installed a few years back... after all this is Texas. Four good tires with low miles and a new spare. Factory AMC radio still works. Horn, lights, wipers, all work. The good: Starts and runs reliably, no wrecks. Absolutely no death wobble, steer with two fingers at 70 MPH. 258 CID six cylinder and 4 speed run strong and shift well in 2WD and 4WD modes. PS and PB. I have never taken it off road. The bad: Small crease on bottom of passenger side front fender and small tear in soft top. The lift looks cool but at my age I'm looking for something I do not have to hoist myself up into any more and could use a bit more room like in a CJ7. That's part of the reason Ichanged out the steering wheel (pictured) but I will include the original steering wheel (pictured) if you want to go stock and /or have a slimmer physique than I do. This Jeep is not a trailer queen or show winner but could be by starting with with a great set of bones and no hassles with rust. It could also make someone just as happy as a weekend driver.
