1979 Jeep CJ Additional Info:

This CJ was purchased in 2016, and shortly after, the engine was replaced with a new Jasper 258 inline-six. With the original cost of the Jeep, along with the upgrades and restoration work, there is over $30,000 into it.

The vehicle has been meticulously maintained with no expense spared. While it’s not our primary vehicle, it serves as a weekend ride.

The new engine has only around 5,000 to 6,000 miles on it.

One of the standout features of this Jeep is that it’s completely rust-free. Additionally, the entire interior is coated with Rhino Lining, providing long-lasting protection against wear and rust. I’ve never taken this vehicle off-road, as I only drive it on paved roads. Moreover, it has never seen rain under my ownership, being driven only on sunny days, and kept in a garage otherwise. Everything on the Jeep functions perfectly, including the gauges. Note that the speedometer cluster was recently replaced, resetting the odometer to 00000.

The Jeep is equipped with a brand new Bestop Supertop and two-piece doors, which have only been installed once to confirm fit. I typically use a bikini top or mesh bikini top, which are included.

There is no backseat, as it was replaced it with a Tuffy Security Products 046-01 Cargo Security Box that cost over $1,000. If you'd prefer to reinstall a backseat, replacements can be easily ordered from Quadratec.

Additionally, we replaced the glovebox with a Tuffy security box and installed a Tuffy console security box, which has cupholders and has been wired with two USB ports and one 12V outlet. All three Tuffy boxes are keyed alike for convenience.

The stereo system includes a Sony MEX-M72BT marine receiver, which supports CDs and USB, delivering 4x55W power to Polk Audio MM 522 5-1/4” front speakers and Polk Audio MM 692 6”x9” rear speakers. The system also comes with a remote control. An Autotek Model 66 powers two Kicker RMB8 8” subwoofers in boxes behind the front seats.

Other features include: fog lights, an onboard trickle charger, a tilting steering column and wheel, Quadratec floor mats, and tires with plenty of tread left, with the spare being brand new.

Thank you for your interest in this vehicle. Please come by for a test drive to see that it’s as good as described. I need to sell this to free up garage space. I’m happy to assist with loading if necessary. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Many extra parts are included
