Jeep made this trim package in very limited production numbers for two years. It came with a narrow chrome/woodgrain body side moulding that ran between the front and rear marker lights, not the full woodgrain side panels. It also came with factory chrome wagon wheels, which are still present on the vehicle. Here's a link to a magazine advertisement. It has pictures and option lists for this vehicle. Hope it works. (if not, try to copy and paste the text into your web browser. Good luck)https://www.xr793.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/1981-Jeep-Wagoneer.pdf This Wagoneer is equipped with the following options:Brougham package360 CI V8Automatic transmission4WD(I have no idea if the 4WD system works. I never tried it)Manual locking front wheel hubsAir Conditioning (I have no idea if the AC works. I never tried it)Cruise control (I know that this doesn't work-the cable is disconnected from the carburetor. I don't know why.)Tow package w/rear air suspensionSince we are talking about a Wagoneer in Michigan, lets get this out of the way right now: THERE IS NO RUST ON THIS VEHICLE.I purchased it from the high desert area of Washington state and had it shipped here. It has been stored in my building since it arrived. It has NEVER seen a Michigan winter or been driven on a salty road. It hasn't even been wet since I bought it. The underbody is dirty but there is only light flash rust on some of the bare metal components (like the trailer hitch and exhaust system etc). It has not been undercoated. All original metal is visible. See pics.As near as I can tell, this vehicle is entirely original, with the following exceptions:Due to sun fading, it has been repainted in its original 1981 AMC Vintage Red Metallic.1" extension shackles on the front leaf springs. The original shackles will be included in the sale.Front gas shocks31x10.50/15 BFG TA/KO tiresI replaced the CAP/ROTOR/PLUGS/WIRES/AIR FILTER with NAPA parts.Aftermarket in-dash cassette player. It works, but it isn't original.Other than that, it's pretty much as-delivered from the factory. If I missed something, feel free to let me know so I can update this posting. This vehicle starts/runs/drives/stops. it does not smoke or burn oil. It runs smoothly on all 8 cylinders and shifts out normally through all 3 gears. Suspension and steering function like a vehicle of this age and mileage. Steering is a bit sloppy, but not terrible. Under the hood it looks like it did in 1981; doesn't appear to have been modified in any way since new. I have no idea if or when any belts or hoses have been replaced or renewed. Because of this, (unless you are relatively close to 48819) I STRONGLY RECOMMEND HAVING IT SHIPPED TO YOUR LOCATION. I would not plan a long trip in it until all belts and hoses have been replaced. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer; I will assist as necessary.I drove it to and from the paint shop last year (over 60 miles away) but other than that I haven't driven it much since I bought it nine years ago. I replaced plugs/wires/cap/rotor/oil/filter/tires/front shocks at that time. Probably driven less than 250 miles since then. Known issues:The fuel gauge sending unit doesn't work consistently, so there is a new one in a box included with the vehicle. The engine drips oil onto the floor from the rear crank seal when you start it after sitting for over 6 months. It stops dripping after a couple minutes and doesn't drip after that when driven regularly. I discussed this with a mechanic. He asked if the vehicle had synthetic oil in it. I found the receipt and it turns out I had put synthetic oil in it. He told me to drain the synthetic and install conventional oil in it. (apparently old seals and synthetic oil don't play well together) I replaced the oil yesterday, so hopefully that will resolve this issue. The emissions air pump seized at some point in the past 43 years. The drive belt has been removed from the pulley. It has a small crack in the grille. See pics.It has a stone chip on the windshield, far below the driver's line of sight. See pics.It has a minor dent on the tailgate trim. See pics.It has a minor bend on the left corner of the rear bumper. See pics.It has one broken wheel stud on the left front wheel. See pics. There is a split in the fabric on the drivers section of the front bench seat. See pics. The air lines to the rear air shocks are brittle and have been patched together. They hold air but will need to be replaced.Other info:Other than the split in the driver's seat and a wobbly armrest on the driver's door panel, the interior is in excellent condition. The cloth on the sun visors is thin and it looks like a moth took a few small bites out of them. See pics. The chrome/woodgrain body side moulding was removed from the vehicle for painting. It is in no condition to be re-installed on this vehicle. I searched high and low for a replacement with no success. I did find a VERY similar product that is chrome with a black vinyl center. It will be included with the vehicle. If you have your heart set on the full woodgrain side panels, kits are available from BJ's Offroad. They are FSJ specialists, and seem to have just about everything you need for a full size Jeep. The original emblems and badges were removed for painting. They are all intact and included with the vehicle. If you would like to inspect/test drive the vehicle prior to bidding, we should be able to make arrangements. eBay is better these days about allowing members to exchange contact info.I hope that covers everything.
