[isdntekvideo] 1948 Willys JeepsterListed on behalf of the owner.Located near PORTLAND, OREGON.During WWII, Willys-Overland built 360,000 Jeeps that helped win the war for the allies. It was a true all-purpose vehicle.Following the war, wanting to lure former G.I.s who were familiar with Jeep's reliability, in 1948 Willys offered a more refined, civilian version, the VJ-2, better known as the "Jeepster."One of those former G.I.s was a Mr. Prince in Kansas, who purchased this Jeepster in 1950 for use on his family farm. Known to the family as "Will," this Jeepster remained with the Prince family for the next 70 years. This Jeepster received a full Frame-off restoration around 2018 by marque expert, "Jeepster Jim" in Palatka, Florida. Jim is known as the finest restorer of Jeepsters and left nothing undone. The body was removed from the frame and every nut, bolt and part was replaced or refreshed correctly. The result returned this Jeepster to "like new" condition.Purchased by the current owner in Oregon, this Jeepster now shows just 560 miles on the odometer since restoration. The body, finished in correct combination of "Tunisian Red" with black belt line trim, shows beautifully today. Excellent panel fit. The chrome and trim is bright and also appears as-new. Radial wide-whitewall tires wrap the restored wheels with chrome trim rings and hubcaps. Excellent, correctly-restored interior with pleated black vinyl seats and black door panels. Beautifully restored steering wheel and interior chrome trim. Black Haartz cloth convertible top is also excellent. Includes like-new side curtains to enclose the cab in inclimate weather.PLEASE SEE PHOTOS THAT WERE JUST TAKEN FOR THIS LISTING AND SHOW CURRENT CONDITION.Mechanically excellent. The rebuilt L-134 4-cylinder Willys "Go Devil" engine starts easily and runs smoothly with no smoke or issues. This Jeepster has a factory 3-speed manual transmission with OVERDRIVE, so it can be driven confidently in modern traffic. All gauges work and register accurately. All lights work. Again, this was a detailed, correct restoration by a Jeepster specialist.PLEASE SEE VIDEO ABOVE, INCLUDING ENGINE RUNNING.(If video link is inactive, go to:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrkNgZX212QThere is little to add.
