This is a beautiful, comfortable, smooth-riding daily driver for someone who appreciates the unmatched, classically refined appeal of the 1988 Grand Wagoneer. I purchased this vehicle in September of 2022 and have invested over $25,000 in its cosmetic and mechanical restoration. It starts and runs extremely well! The majority of my attention has been on the suspension, steering, and cosmetic restoration. I regret needing to sell it, but my circumstances have changed and I would like to free up the money I have in it. All the work on this beauty has been done, which means you can buy it and drive it as a daily driver right away.Until I purchased this Grand Wagoneer, her entire life was spent in the southwest states of Arizona and Southern California. I’ve kept her in the garage year round, and stored her for the two winters I’ve owned her. She has been kept away from all corrosive road salt and even snow, for that matter, her entire life. The 111,848 miles are true and are confirmed by Carfax. No accidents have been reported against her. The tan color interior in the 1988 model year is preferred by many and is the perfect match for the rare, beautiful, and subtle Nordic Green exterior. For the professionally done color conversion, every panel was removed and sanded down to bare metal before priming and painting. Absolutely no rust was found in the process! The carburetor was replaced and fine-tuned by a carburetor specialist in SoCal just before I purchased her and I’ve had absolutely zero problems with it. After installing brand new, stock-height springs from BJ's Offroad and NX2 Nitro shocks, I had a new Red-Head steering gear box installed and aligned. The ride is smooth and the steering is tight. If you know about Red-Heads, then you know this premium upgrade makes a huge difference in steering quality. I did not go cheap on any of the restoration work.Restoration Works Completed:- Full professional color conversion into Chrysler’s OEM color from 1984, Nordic Green- High quality, Tamco base and clear coat - New exterior wood trim (from BJ’s Offroad)- New wood siding (Cherry Oak Woodgrain from Team Grand Wagoneer)- New windshield - New seals and window wipes- Front seats have been reupholstered with high quality vinyl matching the original color perfectly, and the original fabric inserts were kept.- Center armrest has been reupholstered with the same high quality vinyl as well.- New headliner - Dashboard has been recoated and has no cracks!Mechanical Works Completed:Steering:- New Red-Head Steering Gear Box- New BDS NX2 Nitro Series Stabilizer Shock KitSuspension:- New BJ's Off-Road Stock Height Spring Kit (USA Made, and rides super smooth!
