My listing is for a 1976 Jeep Wagoneer with ~101K Miles.
This unique Wagoneer was built for cruises, drives, beaches, making new friends and memories. We made sure she kept her true character while adding modern comforts and upgrades that make her a true 1 of 1.
This truck got all of my love and needs nothing. Originally a southern truck that was brought to New England. It underwent a bare metal respray in its original “Omaha Orange”. As pictured she looks great and is ready for more decades of reliable service. The roof, side stripe, bumpers and wheels were color matched with a custom Ivory color that gave her a vintage feel.
The interior vision really sets her apart. In order to keep the “ airy and comfortable” vibe we started with a custom all metal dash backdate that matches the exterior color. She has a new machined gauge cluster overlay that houses a new voltage regulator, temp gauge and LED bulbs. Upgraded to a digital clock, new plastic glove box insert and new Bluetooth classic style radio head unit.
She has a custom made center console that houses a wireless cell phone charging pad, digital voltmeter, multiple USB accessory ports, and new stainless steel cup holders for your drinks. There is a storage box under the arm rest and it is lined to match the upholstery. She has a custom vinyl headliner with new dome light covers and bulbs that all work.
The upholstery takes it up another notch with tan marine grade vinyl, with matching tan tweed inserts. Seats are later model buckets with custom adapters, new tan seatbelts and hardware to keep everyone safe. The full matching carpet kit is also brand new. All of the door, trunk and kick panel cards were upgraded with brand new laser cut ABS plastic units. The steering wheel is also new and color matched to complete the look. She has a new fully polished steering column with all new ignition switches and keys.
On the electric side everything works, she has a new battery, headlight switch, foot dimmer switch, windshield wiper switch and motor to ensure reliability. All connections were cleaned when necessary. The door switches, footwell lights, blower fan, heater core, tailgate switches and wiring all were refurbished and work well.
We went with a “Razor Grill” conversion, and slimmer 3 piece bumpers front and rear. All of the polished trim was cleaned, polished and repaired whenever possible. All of the exterior trim (about 150!) clips were upgraded to plastic pieces that are no longer available. The emblems are un-touched to keep their patina. She has brand new turn signal and side marker lights. All new light bulbs. She has new stainless hardware through, and all new weather stripping and rubber parts for that matter. Also has all new widow and tailgate frames and guides.
On the mechanical side she is in great shape. She still has her original AMC 360 engine(as it should be) runs really strong with no leaks, noises, smells or smoke. The transmission was just fully rebuilt so she shifts great. She also has the best quality high performance upgrades. The Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor was rebuilt with new parts. She has an MSD 6AL ignition box, distributor plus an Accel Supercoil upgrade. Full maintenance done with new gaskets, wires, spark plugs, fluids, and vacuum hoses. All new coolant system. New fuel pump and hoses, With a new steering shaft it is precise and leak free. Full New brake system including pads, disk, brake booster and master cylinder. The engine bay has been painted, cleaned to keep the vintage vibe. The valve covers were also painted to match the exterior.
For negatives there is a windshield wiper scratch on the driver's side. We welded new metal patches on the drivers side footwell and rear RH inner fender. We found no other signs of rust. As a 50 year old truck she does have some nicks and wear as pictured.
She also has a 2” body lift that is in great condition and also has a 2” suspension lift. The frame is in great shape with no rust or rot. Exhaust is in great shape and leak free. Tires have good thread and she has brand new 15x8 steel wheels to complete the stance.
Overall this is a difficult (and pricey) build to replicate. She was a 2 year labor of love and seeing my unique vision for an amazing Wagoneer come to fruition has been a joy. Whether you are from the Outer Banks, California,Texas, Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket, this is an opportunity to stand out from the sea of look-alike Grand Wagoneers for decades to come.
