This Jeep Wagoneer was purchased new from Old Colony Service Corp. on Martha's Vineyard byJackie Onassis. The car is an ideal opportunity for either a full restoration or to preserve in it'soriginal condition with it's patina. It's 100% original. This would be an incredible piece of Jackie-O'sand the family past. The car was purchased on June 22, 1981 for $11,008. All trim and accessoriesare original. The car is presently in need of work to run, by cleaning the fuel lines and system. Theengine is a straight 6, and itself is a simple, strong engine that after fixing up would provide dependable
service. The body of the car is in good shape with only some surface rust and thinning paint. Allpanels are solid and the only rust issues are with two of the floor boards. Some damage to the frontseat, drivers side, would need repair and new springs. One missing hubcap. Rear tailgate windowneeds hardware, can presently be rolled down with tools. All other windows work.
Muffler needs replacement. Tires and brakes have only about 1,000 miles on them. The car has112,800 miles. All in all, the car is an opportunity for a restoration or to leave as is for history's sake.It actually ran pretty well, but hasn't run in a number of years. Paint is original and worn in spots.This car was the Kennedy Estate Martha's Vineyard car for 5 years. It has been owned by threepeople since then. Copies of each transfer included.
