1965 Jeep V-8 Additional Info:

Here we have a 1965 Jeep CJ5 jeep with a small block 283 V8 engine. Factory 4x4 works great and even comes with a new Saturn overdrive transmission. It also has a fresh 3" inch suspension lift made from skyjacker as well as new BF Goodrich tires. I purchased this vehicle from a veterans organization about 8-months ago. The old man who had it before me was mechanically restoring the jeep and had a stack of new parts receipts and work done.
I had dreams about keeping this forever but I never have time to have fun with this old jeep. Perfect for restoration or leave as is a lot of the hard stuff has been done.
1. V8 283 swap from a 1966 el camino motor has correct new mounting brackets and hardware to frame.2. Overdrive transmission3. New BFG tires all terrain4. New brake5. Factory 4x4 locking hubs6. New front and rear turn signals and mechanism (old parts of wiring harness need removed, not affecting portion of harness changed)7. New battery and carburetor8. Clean title and registration
This jeep might not be the prettiest, but it sure is cool and it will go anywhere you want to 4x4 or use as the a utility truck. It's just an all around neat, old jeepJeep has cool old white paint with some scratches and chips. It is a real deal old desert 4x4. The frame is straight and the jeep drives straight at 70 mph on the highway. Engine oil pan drips a few drops and the transmission leaks a few drops every couple days, but nothing major. Tires are brand new and have about 200 miles on them. The engine is very strong for this lightweight old jeep. The motor has power steering and a pretty new alternator. The carburetor is also a newly rebuilt one. The body mounts have rust around them, (please see video in photos). Engine has headers and the drivers side rear cylinder pipe has a crack making exhaust leak so pipe has an exhaust clamp on it currently. The ignition switch is new as well as battery. Gas tank is also new, installed under drivers seat.
