This 1979 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle is finished in gold over tan denim upholstery and is powered by a 304ci V8 linked to a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The Jeep was acquired by the current owner in June 2019. Spent mostly all of its life from a long time owner in California and Colorado. The Golden Eagle has a 2.5 lift included replacing suspension components. Just drove it today an hour on the highway and it drives like a dream. This CJ-7 now shows 2,155 miles but the previous owner replaced the gauge because the fuel gauge stopped working. We have the original Gauge that has 67,517 miles.
The Golden Eagle Edition featured a unique decal and lettering on the hood, and this example left the factory finished in Alpaca Brown Metallic.
The golden eagle wheels were powder coated installed in preparation for the sale and are mounted with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A. The Jeep is equipped with locking front hubs. Suspension components were replaced under previous ownership.
The front bucket seats were replaced and have Bestop seat covers on the driver and passenger front seats, along with a seat, cover on the original rear seat that is still in immaculate condition. I currently also have the original front seats listed in pictures. Amenities include a locking center console that was professionally reupholstered to match the interior.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 90-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 2,155 miles as stated previously. This Jeep floats down the road. Driving on the highway between 60 to 70 miles feels like it has power steering!
The 304ci V8 sends power to the rear or all four wheels via a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. All fluid services were performed in preparation for the sale.
