1950 Willys Jeep Overland, 4 cylinder "Go-Devil" engine, Manual shift transmission, 4 wheel drive, a Rotisserie Restoration that is Concourse condition! 4 year restoration process,purchased new in Wichita Falls Texas, purchased from the original owners family, jeep retains all of its original sheet metal,clutch is 72 sq. in. frictional area- ball release bearing-lubricated, transmission is syncromesh, frame is box section side members with five sturdy crossmembers, wheelbase is 104"- front tread 55 1/4"- rear tread 57"- overall length 176 1/4"- width 72"- height (loaded) 73", Steering gear is Cam and twin pin lever with roller thrust bearing 14-12-14 to 1 variable ratio- turning circle radius 17 1/2 feet, Front suspension is Planadyne with independ-ently sprung front wheels- double acting shock absorbers- low stress cross spring with double wrapped eyes and rubber inserts, Rear Suspension is Hotchkiss drive- double acting shock absorbers- stabilizer bar, Rear Axle is Hypoid gears- 5.38 to 1ratio, Brakes are 4wheel hydraulic- Drums 10" X 1 3/4",general info-Jeep has front dome lamp- 2 sun visors- glove box- dual automatic windshield wipers- adjustable drivers seat- combination fuel and vacuum pump- dual horns- front and rear arm rest- front and rear ash receivers- rear bumper extensions- key locks on both front doors- front bumper guard assembly, the Willys station wagon was the first SUV assembled as a 4 wheel drive in the United States as all other manufacturers sent their vehicles to be modified into 4 wheel drives, The rear tail light on this Willys is an original lamp! very few ever survived because they are cast aluminum and just didn't survive, during the restoration process the jeep was dipped to remove all of the old paint and any surface rust, every internal cavity of the jeep was treated with a self etch primer then was coated alkyd faded rust inhibiting primer- all exterior surfaces were sprayed with epoxy primer then sprayed with two component automotive primer, the paint is Auto color single stage and clear coated, every drive line componenthas been rebuilt as needed, new bearings and seals, the heater would work if water was directed to it- it has water shut off valves on the fire wall- the reason the water s shut off is because it doesn't get driven much and didn't want the core to go bad because the heater in this Jeep is extremely rare! the body on this Willys is razor straight, the paint is concourse show quality, the interior is remarkable, the undercarriage is equally remarkable and the engine area is amazing, all chrome/stainless is great, all weather stripping throughout the vehicle is great, all glass throughout is great, I could go on and on about this Willys and it would never give you an accurate picture of just how remarkable and stunning this Willys truly is! simply put this is one of the nicest Willys Jeep Wagons in the world and it will enhance any collection! it will be the talk of any place you take it andwill win any show you enter it into! per purchase inspections are very welcome, if you need help arranging transport to buyers home town just ask me and I will be happy to help, copy and paste the 5 youtube links below and paste onto youtube to view very recent videos of the Jeep...………..
