Up for saleis my 1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ with a Cummins 4Bt turbo diesel . I purchased this Jeep back in 1998 from the original owner. It had the stock American Motors 4.2Linline six cylinder gas engine with 95,000 Miles. I purchased it as a toy to have some summerfun w/ the top and doors removed. Asthe owner of many diesels, I decided tostart a very large project and swap in the 3.9L 4Bt in 2008. I located the mill in a wrecked 1992 FritoLay Bread Truck with less than 70,000 miles.This 4Bt has the very reliable rotary VE fuel pump . The bread truck engine was equipped with a GMmanual transmission, so I opted to use aTurbo 400 3-Speed automatic re-using the current tranny flex plate. After locating a used Turbo-400, I had it completely rebuilt using an AdvancedAdapter Shaft + bell coupler with matching spline shaft for connection to theOE Jeep 4 x 4 transfer case. To allowfor needed engine clearance I installed a 4” Sky Jacker Lift Kit with Extraheavy duty leaf springs to support the Hefty 700Lb gray iron mill. In 2014 I had the rotary pumpprofessionally rebuilt by Dave’s Diesel in Angola IN . Some tweaks were done to raise the revlimiter and provide 30 Lbs of turbo boost .Factory cloth seats were removedand replaced with a pair of Heated leather buckets from a VW Jetta Tdi(extremely comfortable) . Fab shopwelded a ½” thick custom steel plate across rear frame and bolted to the customtubular bumper. This allows rear framehitch to haul anything you care to hook on to with this Cummins. We also installed a full set of custom GlowShift custom gauges including Speedo, Fuel, Voltage, Oil Pressure, EngineTemperatur, Boost pressure, andexhaust gas EGT’s . We also installedthe matching Glo-Shift Tachomete, butstill needs a proximity sensor installedinside engine compartment to make it operational . Glow Shift Odometer reads 13,500 miles +approximately 11,000 miles on diesel conversion before Glo-Shift gaugeswap. Estimated 25,000 miles have beenput on this 4Bt swa, and it is a rocksolid conversion that will not disappoint .Jeep comes with a fiberglass hard-top. Bimi Top + rear flexi back windowmake this Jeep ready for any rain. Optional snow-plow available if buyer is interestedfor additional $800 cash . Fresh paintjob with all new stainless steel door handles / hinges and hardware in2015. Jeep has always been stored in garage, carpet removed and spray in bed-liner installed from firewall to rear tailgate.If buyer purchases the optional Snow-Plow for $800 (additional) it includes a tow -bar that connects to snow plow bracketallowing you to tow Jeep 4 down (all four wheels on ground) . Oil and Filter just changed along with fuel filter 9/7/2020
