1988 Jeep Wrangler Additional Info:

1988 Jeep Wrangler Sahara rare color code CW COFFEE. Original paint. Lots of recent mechanical work.

Unmolested, unrestored original Sahara. Very straight and rot free. I have never seen this color, try your own google search hardly another one around.

Interior is completely intact. Seats have very limited wear. Original Sahara center glove box in place with lock. Original Sahara steering wheel. Floors are 100% solid. Correct Sahara interior carpet. New rear tan seat belts.

Body has no rust bubbles.Has some paint fade (on plastic fender), chips, dent in hood / and doors. Body is straight. Solid, some surface corrosion – NOT RUST BUBBLES - on exposed metal at paint chips. For some reason there are two holes drilled under driver’s door in tub.

New tan softtop and upper doors.

Undercarriage and frame is all solid. Previous owner painted the frame, and it is not covering up rust.

Recent work in past 2 years, Ford Motorcraft 2bbl carb rebuild kit, cylinder head gasket, valve cover gasket, new fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plugs, distributor cap, distributor rotor, thermostat, heater hoses, radiator hoses, battery, brakes, all calipers, rotors, pads, wheel cylinders, drums, windshield and windshield molding, windshield wipers, taillights, front bumper, horn….

The factory mess of vacuum hoses have been removed and an upgraded rebuilt Motorcraft 2150 (nutter bypass) has been installed. The top half of motor was dissembled, new valve seals, head gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, water pump gasket, thermostat gasket, intake gasket and valve cover gasket installed. Motor is dry.

All fluids including differentials, transmission and transfer case recently changed.

Jeep tracts and drives straight. Jeep stops straight and steers properly. Jeep always starts in cold weather with two taps of gas, choke engages and motor warms up at higher choke idle.

The wheels were professionally refinished with khaki metallic paint that shows great. The tan pinstripe was hand painted, has great contrast but is not Ferrari perfect. The Goodyear Wrangler tires were installed in 2016 and have low milage since with plenty of tread.

Included in sale is a set of used original fog lights for this Sahara that need some refurbishment The stereo does not work. All gauges appear to work.

Sale includes hand written maintenance log by original owner from October 1988 till 2001 at 110,700 miles. Also included is 15 page color 1988 Jeep Wrangler sales brochure and 1988 Wrangler Factory Paint Chip Brochure.

This is a survivor, maintained Jeep. It is as rust free as some Jeeps from out West. This Jeep is not restored and has minor blemishes consistent with a 32 year old vehicle that has seen 137,000 miles. Many wear areas are still intact on this Jeep – the Sahara leather steering wheel has not been worn through, nor has the driver’s floor carpet or driver’s seat bottom. I'd like buyer to be aware my kid just broke inside door handle passenger side, and passenger seat side loop is missing a button.
