1989 Jeep Wagoneer Grand Wagoneer Additional Info:
After years of owning this Jeep Grand Wagoneer, the time has come to let her go. It is a 1989 that came from the South- great running, great looking Jeep that I've done a lot of work to and gets compliments every timeI drive it. It was in really good shape when I got it, but, I wanted to modernize it a bit. I put in a 3 or 4" lift (can't remember now) - new springs all the way around, not just 2. After months of searching, I found a set of XD wheels that give it a more modern look while still holding on to the Wagoneer spoked wheel look. I had a set of Toyo tires mounted on the XD wheels, love the look of those Toyos. I also tracked down new old stock bumpers from an older Wagoneer that doesn't have the rubber strips nor the big rubber bumper pieces, making for a nice smoothed out look. I had my body guy remove the woodgrain and fill the trim holes, also had him remove the roof rack and fill those holes, and had him remove the hood ornament all to smooth out the truck. I also had the shop urethane gluethe sunroof shut as it didn't work properly and they are prone to leaking. I was lucky enough to have Chip Foose draw a rendering of my Jeep and sign the glove box (see pic), definitelya one of a kind Jeep. New brakes all the way around too, stops real nice. I had a slightly more aggressive cam installed for a nice idle sound, and also installed an Edlebrock intake and new Holley 4 barrel carburetor. I wanted to keep the truck as stock as possible, no cheap chrome, or flashy out-of-place stuff under there. I spent a lot of time and money under the hood to make sure the original AMC 360 didn't give me any trouble. This motor got a new water pump, oil pump, power steering pump, a/c compressor, of course, spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. New hoses, belts, I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of stuff. The rear window even rolls up and down via both dash switch and tailgate lock, as it should. We use this Jeep for a fun summer truck to get the kids ice cream and take it to church, etc. It does get driven and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it just about anywhere. It doesn't heat up even in the hottest of summer days, the heat works great if you want to use it into the fall or even winter. I had it painted four years ago, and while it still looks great, it is showing its age a little and could look amazing if buffed out. The a/c will need to be recharged as it wouldn't work when we got it out of storage this spring, the rear wiper doesn't work either, I never got around to repairing it as I never needed it. This auction has a low reserve, so bid freely knowing somebody is going to wind up with this Jeep. I will gladly help the winning bidder arrange shipped at winners expense. Thanks for looking. Please feel free to ask me questions.
