A tough 4x4 1976 Jeep CJ5 Renegade with a great stance, nice colors, and the right equipment gives you a terrific total package for quite an obtainable price. This classic icon is dressed in dark green metallic paint with custom golden accents and a tan soft top. It's a classy kind of color combination that adds distinction on the streets. And that's really the point of a CJ. The lifted suspension of this one tells you it can... traverse any rocky ravine, but to be a true go-anywhere machine means also looking good making milk runs. You'll also enjoy the original touches that a true upgraded Renegade package offers, like the fender flares and roll bar. And of course, the round headlights and seven-slot grille instantly connect you to all the history a Jeep has to offer. That's why these look just as good driving down High Street as they do exploring the high lands. Just like the outside, the tan seats look great against the exterior green on the dash. You can tell the covers have been updated recently to make sure that this CJ is looking good and weather resistant when it's open to the world. The rear seat is borrowed from a later model Jeep, and so it's just as robust. This one retains the classic Jeep dash with central speedometer, but there are also plenty of great upgrades. For example, there's a tan bikini top when you feel like some sun shade without putting the full roof in place. The wood rimmed sports steering wheel is a great place to lay your left hand, and your right one may never want to leave the B&M shifter. Plus, the addition of the Sunpro oil pressure gauge and large Sunpro tach are the kind of features that real drivers find handy. Under the hood, the original 232 cubic-inch inline-six has been upgraded to a 258 motor. This means extra power and torque without losing the correct Jeep appearance or durability. And as you look at everything from the condition of the Weber carburetor to the steel braided radiator hose, you get the impression that this Renegade been maintained to remain quite robust. The three-speed manual transmission feeds the two-speed transfer case and seriously beefy axles at both ends. Tall gears and low range give it rock-crawling stability, and the Interco Trxus tires have deep grooves to channel loose ground. But thanks to features like power steering and power brakes w/discs up front, this one is comfortable in the urban scene, too. A cool all-American Jeep with some fun upgrades and plenty of character. It's amazing you can get all of this for such a value price. But a deal this nice doesn't wait for long, call today!
