1986 Jeep CJ Laredo Additional Info:

Somewhere between mean trail machine and cool boulevard cruiser lies this 1986 Jeep CJ7 Laredo. With bold paint, full hardtop, 4x4 prowess, and five-speed manual transmission, this icon can truly do everything it was built for, while also fitting in anywhere. And it's hard to do that with any other classic for this price. As far as classic Jeep aesthetics, it doesn't get much better than this. This CJ has been given an investment a few years ago in super sharp black paint accented with crisp and correct silver Laredo graphics. The result is a look that exceeds your nostalgic expectations. Upfront is the highly recognizable grille. Not only is that in chrome, but this has been upgraded to have the whole front panel â€" including bumper and tow hooks â€" with a nice polished presentation. Out back are more polished bumpers and a full-sized spare (the true jewelry of a CJ.) The included black hardtop with tinted windows looks terrific against this full black package. Even the door handles are polished to fit in with this overall theme of black and chrome. So this one has style no matter if you're spending the night under the stars of just on a grocery run. As good as this looks with the hardtop in place, a true Jeep is meant to be open to the world. That's why we love the level of presentation on the interior. The black seats with silver stripes is factory-correct on this premium Laredo, and it's a great coordinating element with the exterior. In fact, this one looks quite well preserved and loaded inside. After all, you have all the right factory elements in place, like the lockable center console, AM/FM radio, and the very handy factory tach. Under the hood is a 258 cubic-inch inline-six motor. This is believed to be original to the vehicle, and it's a long established power plant for Jeep. It's part of what built the CJ's go-anywhere reputation and continues to have easy parts availability. This one looks like it has been treated correctly, right down to the decals. That's why it fires up easily and runs smoothly. And because this is later in the CJ series, you get a very versatile five-speed manual transmission. It has the right gearing for driving in-town, and when the pavement ends, it works with the two-speed transfer case to feed the seriously beefy axles at both ends. Plus, features like Goodyear Wrangler tires and front disc brakes are great no matter where you're driving. Complete with owner's manual, this is a fantastically presented and well-respected Jeep. So if you like you classic 4x4s with a little flair, don't miss this deal. Call now!
