1989 Jeep Wrangler Wrangler Additional Info:
A real Jeep! When Jeep was a stand alone company and before they were turned into the plastic replicas you see on the road today. This is a very nice weekend cruiser and classic car show head turner that runs and sounds great. We can't pump gas without people coming up to us to see it! The interior floors have a custom polyurethane flake bedliner rolled on to protect the metal and dress up the inside. The vehicle has older owners that never mud ride, but the 4-wheel drive works great when you need it. Our family has enjoyed the Jeep for a lot of years and we completed a $24,900 restoration project in 2009 that took 6 years to finish. We know we cannot get back all the money that was put into the Jeep, and that's what makes this purchase for someone an outright steal! You can imagine the cost if you try to restore one from a barn find like we've done-- just the 5 Micky Thompson wheels, BF Goodwrench Mud Terrain tires, the bumpers and radio system cost us $6,000. We are having to move and forced to let go of a lot of our favorite collectibles. We never planned to have to sell the Jeep--only pass it down to the next generation of family members so we recently did a lot of maintenance and repairs throughout the vehicle. We had a major tune up, oil change and brand new tires put on to get ready for the summer. Also, in the last 3 months we installed a brand new Webber carburetor (has 15 miles on it), a new battery, new rear brake lines (metal and rubber), rear brake pads, brake cylinders, inner and outer front and rear differential seals, new wheel bearings, new seat and fire extinguisher covers, all new fuel lines and gas tank hoses, and replaced the coil pack. Last year we installed a new water pump, clutch, and had a new exhaust system put in. The transmission was brand new that we had put in a few years ago, and since we only use the vehicle as a weekend car and for car shows it only has 8,500 miles on it! Really a ton more of great things to list! Since we have owned it for so long we have so many extra parts, like another carburetor with a rebuild kit, repair books, spare parts, new old stock ash tray and lighter, and even brand new parts that will come with the vehicle. It goes on and on, just too much to list. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. Thank you for appreciating our families Jeep and taking them time to look at the listing!
