CJs are great off-road machines by design to begin with. They are also built plenty strong enough to allow substantial upgrades and modifications. This CJ has taken full advantage of that strength by swapping in a potent motor and boosting the suspension a few inches. Then it was dressed up to look good with a sweet paint job, and the end result is this rompin stompin CJ7. Let's start with its awesome good looks. As you approach this Jeep, the... orange paint with Renegade script in red on the hood along with the red stripes along the rocker panel is an attention-grabbing combination. Add an aluminum step to assist in climbing up and into this ride, along with some brightwork just above it on along the bottom edge of the rocker and it looks awesome from the side. Move around to the front and you will find a very substantial chrome push bar with LED driving lights mounted to it, along with a chrome bumper and grill. Serious pieces for 4 wheeling, and good looking on top of that. Out back there is a bumper with a trailer receiver built into it, along with eyelets to facilitate attaching a tow strap at need. While running topless off road is tons of fun, there is also a tan soft top with tinted windows that provides all weather capability. If the doors are on, open them up and check out the interior. The brushed stainless dash jumps right out at you. It looks great with all the switches plainly marked which include switches for an auxiliary cooling fan and the driving lights. There are also a couple additional gauges to help keep track of engine functions. A chrome glove box door and grab handle is on the passenger side. Kenwood provides the tunes with an iPod compatible FM/CD player hidden in the front compartment of the center console, which pumps sound out through speakers mounted on the transmission tunnel. The other section of the console is huge, and lockable so you can secure your valuables. The seats, console, dash and roll bar are all dressed in tan which is a really nice match to the orange outside. The rear seat is a lighter shade of tan, possibly an addition or replacement and the rest of the interior is sprayed with Rhino Liner for good looks and easy clean up. Now let's get to the performance goodies on this Jeep. A 360-cubic inch engine is quite potent in this little CJ. Its topped by a chrome air filter housing with fuel mixing duties handled by a Holley 4bbl carb. An Edelbrock intake distributes the mixture to the engine efficiently, where the MSD ignition ensures good spark. Hedman longtube headers draw out the spent gasses and send them down a 3-inch exhaust system through Flowmaster mufflers and out the back. The exhaust on this Jeep sounds awesome!!! The power that 360 makes is sent back through a 4-speed manual trans to those 35X12.50R15 tires which are mounted on Mickey Thompson wheels. The suspension received some upgrades too, along with about a 3-inch lift for a little more ground clearance in order to accommodate those monster tires. Come on down and check out this powerful and great looking CJ7. Then take it home, and head out for some serious fun in it.
