1974 Jeep CJ CJ5 Additional Info:
This has been my daily driver for almost 3 years. I love it and hate to part with her, but I have too many irons in the fire. As I understood it was originally purchased by an older lady for running around her ranch. It was yellow. It was then bought by a gentleman for his high school son. It was poorly painted and gone through mechanically. I bought it from the son who didn't drive it much due to his trouble shifting the manual transmission. Now, apparently a lost art (very sad). This Jeep has has never let me down and climbed everything I've asked her to. All I've done is buy new tires, install a new Smitty Built bench seat and seat belts, change the oil and air filter every 3000 miles, and make sure everything is lubed and all fluids are topped off. With the 31'' tires it will cruise at about 62 mph and stops well for 4 drums. What doesn't work ? fuel gauge, amp gauge, ww fluid. 4x4 and hubs work as they should. Hard top is awesomely warm in the winter and the doors pop off in 30 seconds for the summer. I've never had the top off, though it is easy enough to do. The rear full door is very handy and not seen too often. This is a solid, honest Jeep with one of the best motors ever made. Mileage is unknown because the speedo was replace at some point. Ask questions please. Buyer is responsible for shipping. Thanks for the look.
