The picture of the blue jeep CJ5 with White metal hardtop is a PICTURE OFF THE INTERNET, but is representative of what this era of Jeep could look like. This brown CJ5 was rescued from my wife's uncle's place some 10 years ago, with the plan to transfer its V6 motor to a CJ-2A we had at the time. When we started the motor it had such a nice rumble to it, we decided to instead sellthe CJ-2A and restore this CJ5.More about its unique engine can be found here: http://www.jeeptech.com/engine/dauntless225.html
We disassembled the jeep and began the restoration and then life happened, and it got set aside under cover. Prior to that, since the original tub was rotted, I purchased a military CJ5 tub, with the batteryaccess near the right windshield hinge (I saved that part of the old tub in case the battery cover was to be removed/shaved). Other items include a new rear floor from classic enterprises, and several pieces of 4' x 5' flat sheetmetal. Also have a front axle from a newer CJ5 with disc brakes and a new ring and pinion to match the back axle (I took the pumpkin cover off but never disassembled the axle, cover and bolts still there. The hardtop is complete, all glass is there, and there is an extra windshield frame. The original steering column and wheel are there (pictures shows some ducttape residue and two fillable nicks. A tilt column was purchased together with and a pedal box from a newer CJ (though the original pedal /brake system is there. Also purchased an extra rear tank off a newer CJ and removed the triangulation piece intending to instead point it forward.
Whats missing: 1) the original bumpers (had 2"x 4" box bumpers with receiver hitch made for the front and back). 2) seat frames (though lower frames that mount to body are there). 3) tail gate (though jeep raised lettering was saved to add to replacement panel) 4) original narrow jeep rims (newer wider rims and tires purchased). 5) original hitch bracket with multiple holes. 6) original front axle (replaced by newer axle with discs). These are the significant items I can remember. If you don't see something, please email or call and I'll check to make sure it is included (otherwise, you are buying what is pictured here and other pictures I will send to those who are interested (listing limited out at 24). Please let me know what you want to see.
I am no longer interested in finishing the project (my wife passed away this Jan 2017, and as much as I would like to finish the project...I know it is not going to happen).
Vehicle is located in Grand Forks, BC Canada......only 5 minutes north of Danville, WA USA. (and about 2.5 hours north of Spokane).
As vehicle was originally received for parts, we did not get official title, and that uncle has passed away. If absolutely necessary, I can contact the executor but that will take time. Buyer must pick up and is responsible for all shipping costs. Please feel free to review my ebay feedback
$100 paypal or e-transfer downpayment required immediately on agreement of price. Form of final payment must be agreed to and verified before parts leave with new owner.
Willing to consider all offers, and will try to be flexible with buyers pickup schedule. Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.Rob
