1989 Jeep Wrangler Base Sport Utility 2-Door Additional Info:
1989 Jeep Wrangler in phenomenal condition. If there was anything mechanically wrong with this jeep when I got it, it was repaired or replaced. I spent the last year putting lots of TLC into it.
The tub on this jeep is in excellent conditions, no rust, very solid inside and out. Friend of mine bought this jeep at a charity auction. I believe this jeep was in storage for a very long time based on the condition of the fuel tank and gas.
One of the 1st things done on this jeep was a complete new gas system to include: fuel tank, fuel lines and fuel pump.
Next thing, brake system, to include: master cylinder, brake lines, calibers, drums, rotors and pads.
Next, motor, this jeep's problems stems from EPA emissions crap. Lots and lots of vacuum lines and sensors. All of which have been removed and replaced with very nice high performance Edelbrock carburetor which improved efficiency and performance greatly.
The amount of new parts on this jeep is to extensive to list. Only thing not replaced on the jeep are the wheels. Figured you would want to put your own wheels. Tires are good and look good. Just have concern about the age. Price just reflects investment in parts not my time.
This jeep has rock crawler style bumpers with winch plate, brush guard, D rings and heavy duty spare tire carrier on it.
The interior is all original and in very phenomenal condition.
This jeep comes equipped with 6 cylinder motor, hard to find in the earlier years. Jeep is a standard shift, drive train 100%. Is also equipped with hard top, also hard to find in these years. I've seen these tops go for $1500 to $2000. Also comes with hard doors with roll up windows in perfect condition, also very hard to find. Seen these go for as high at $1500 each.
Complete new paint job on this jeep. The new owner of this jeep will have something to show off and be proud of. It is great like it is but ready for new lift tires and rims.
