I searched for 2 years to find the right combination of factors for my Jeep. I wanted a RUST FREE, ll metal, ell maintained CJ5 with the factory Tremec T176 4 speed, nd the 258 6 cylinder. They are not easy to find, nless you are willing to pay $20k or more. Most CJ’s I saw were either rusted out, eat up from off road use, r prohibitively expensive. It also has the Dana 300 transfer case, he AMC 20 rear end (3.54 ratio) and the Dana 30 front axle. The rims are period correct American Racing Wheels and the tires are in good condition. It has headers with side exhaust (sounds great), ood seats, back seat, estop bikini top and roll bar cover, alf doors, nd RS 5000 Rancho Shocks. It also has tilt and power steering. Chrome bumpers with receiver hitch, nd a locking metal console with pad. As you can see, he body is VERY solid and straight. The panels on the rear are decorative and are not covering problems (you can see and feel the metal, ee pics). If you are building a $25k Jeep, his is an excellent CJ to build on, s it will not require body work or rust repair. If you are buying a driver or an off road Jeep, t’s ready to go.

This is the Renegade model (no decals now, ut they can be purchased) and has the lower side trim, he metal base between bumper and grill for mounting a winch, ilt and power steering, igh back seats, tc.

The entire body and frame on this Jeep is amazingly solid, traight and rust-free. In my opinion, he body alone is worth the sales price. Although I do not use it off road, he 4wd was just tested and works fine.

I have been retired for years and only use it for Nice Beach Days. The ONLY reason I am selling it: I promised my wife a new car, o I need the money and garage space now.

I have listed it with a very low reserve (several thousand below market value) and also reduced the price in case you want to buy a soft or hard top (I don’t need it here in South Florida. It’s Never driven in the rain.

The aluminum piece on the dash is for a removable stereo and can be easily removed if you don’t use a stereo. It needs a turn signal switch ($20 on Ebay).
