1976 Jeep CJ CJ7 Additional Info:

Up for bid is my 1976 Jeep CJ7, it was my project vehicle but as usual life gets in the way and everything else takes a backseat. This CJ-7 is original andcame withthe 304 cid V8 and an automatic transmission which is currently in it.I am told the 304 V-8 and Auto trannyis a pretty rare combination. I picked up this beast on a trade deal for a Coachman 30 foot Class A RV. I have owned this Jeep since approx. 2008 and it has been parked in the garage when I wasn't driving it which was about 98% of the time. It hasn't been started in approx. 2 years so the gas probably needs drained and fresh gas put in. I am VERY particular when it comes to describing a vehicle that someone will be buying because I do NOTwant the buyer to be surprisedandIdefinitely do NOTwant the buyer to be disappointed so PLEASE read all PROS and CONS very carefully and study the pictures closely as well. Thank You!!!

PROS- The old rusted metal body has been replaced with a full fiberglass body kit which appears to be in great shape. It also comes with both doors and a white fiberglass top. The 304 small block V8 runs strong, no knocks, no pinging and no smoking. Uses no oil and the engine leaks no fluids. The old single barrel carb. was replaced with a newer double barrel carb. The original distributor (ignition system) I was told was a Prestolite points and condenser type distributor and I was having a LOT of problems with it, so after a lot of measurements, research and even a little "trial and error"I finally figured out how to upgrade the entire ignition system with a new, redesigned setup. I went to Napa and purchased all the parts I needed to change it over to an electronic ignition system. I bought a new MSD HotShot coil, ignition module and a big block Ford distributor (replaced distributor gear with the correct one), a new distributor cap and rotor button and also rerouted an intermittent vacuum hose for the vacuum advance, and PRESTO...a flawless electronic ignition system. I replaced the starter when I first got the Jeep as well as the fuel pump andalso a new gas tank, replaced some of the rusty fuel lines and some hoses. I added an electric fuel lift pump. The alternator has been replaced and also the old smaller radiator has been replaced with a larger core radiator, new thermostat and new upper hose. The previous owner told me he replaced the old stock fan with a used flex fan. I changed the transmission fluid and filter but had decided to reuse the pan gasket which as you will see in the "CONS section" was a mistake. Repaired/replaced some damagedhoses and electrical wiring. Its equipped with newer Warn lock-out hubs. The transfer case has a high & low range shifter lever in front of the drivers seat near the floorboard on the RH side. All 4 tires have approx. 90-95% tread left on them. I'm throwing in a box full of AMC Jeep misc. goodies ie., gaskets, hydraulic shocks, transfer case drive chain and misc. odds and ends worth a lot of money. The gear oil in both front and rear diffs has been drained and replaced. The transfer case has also been drained and refilled. There's approx. a4-6 inch suspension lift and approx. a 2-3 inch body lift. Also has a full steel tube roll bar.

CONS-Need battery and battery box because the old box is broken/rusted out. I've also noticed some MINOR scratches on the body and one of the headlight springs seems to be missing or broken. When I changed tranny fluid and filter and reused pan gasket, it now has a fluid leak that appears to becoming from the old pan gasket. When my friend climbed underneath to check tranny fluid leak, he said he noticed rust on different parts ofthe frame. The engine needs an air cleaner and air filter. Passenger side mirror is off. Passenger side park light cover is broken. There's a very slow leak in front driver tire but I will fix that no problem. If you haveANY questions whatsoever, please feel free to message me or send me a text message (740)466-5664.

There is also a snow plow that mounts on the front bumper somehow, but I have never used it nor even tried to install it.I was told by previous owner that it somehow works by hooking up through a"T" fittingin the power steering line, switchingalever to raise/lower. I will throw in (for free) all of the plow parts, line, lever and plow... I'm not even sure what all is there, but it's all yours if you want it.

THANK YOU FOR LOOKING & HAPPY BIDDING!!!
