I purchased this 1985 Jaguar XJ6 for my wife in March 2019 with 35k miles. It was a two owner car from Pennsylvania, then Connecticut and CarFax report shows that it was driven an average 1,000 miles per year. Since acquiring the car I have replaced the Fuel Injectors, Fuel Tank Changeover Valve, EFI Relays, and Fuel Pressure Regulator - this is the SMOOTHEST RUNNING MOTOR that I have ever experienced. Over the years I have rebuilt or replaced many parts:* Brake Master Cylinder and Vacuum Booster were replaced with New Units* The 5” Headlights are upgraded to European Spec 7” Hella H4s* All 6 shocks replaced with OEM style dampers (comfortable, stock ride)* 1” Front Sway Bar (XJS model) Upgrade, w/ Poly Bushings* Replaced Steering Rack with/good used (original leaked), New Poly Mount Bushings, and new Tie Rod Ends* Flushed Transmission and Cleaned Valve Body, New Trans Filter* Serviced A/C, added Larger Aux Fan, and New A/C Amplifier (controller) w/ LED indicators (still R12 Coolant)* Leaking Heater core was re-cored by Burbank Radiator* Correct Stainless Tailpipes* New AGM Battery 9/24There is No Rust on the underside of this car but, being garaged near the ocean there is some rust bubbling at the base of the Windshield and Rear Window (see photos). The Factory Color is called Regent Grey, but the car has been re-sprayed in a slightly lighter color (my touch up paint doesn’t match). The paint job has a few small runs and a couple rough-ish spots, but it looks great from 10 feet away. ALSO - the Leather is in great condition, but the original Jaguar stitching was Cotton and is separating at some of the seams (see photos), but in the 5 years that I’ve owned this car none of the seams have completely split open. There are no real leaks underneath, but there is a drop or two a week coming off the steering rack. All windows, mirrors, sunroof, trunk and door lock solenoids work correctly. The A/C works great, with a new controller that adjusts to internal temps. This car runs great and has been a reliable daily commuter (when my other car was out of service for two months), andhas always passed California smog tests with flying colors. My wife recently bought an Electric Vehicle so we are looking to reduce the extra cars in the driveway. I welcome serious buyers to come test drive the car if you near the Los Angeles area. Please contact me if you want more info or specific photos. Extra photos are posted here:https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B2J5n8hH4mGz7iI am happy to coordinate with trucking companies if you want to ship this car. I would feel comfortable driving it across country, if you have the time - your comfort levels may vary.THANKS FOR LOOKING!
