1974 Jaguar SS100 Roadster Additional Info:

One of the most imitated cars of the 1930s, the Jaguar SS100 spawned a litany of replica vehicles through the subsequent decades. We have one at MotoeXotica Classic Cars, titled as a 1974 Jaguar. Understood to be a replica SS100 manufactured by Panther.

Dressed in red, the car's paint and trim are in overall excellent condition with minor imperfections. The car's bodywork is straight and solid, the engine bay is very tidy and the contrasting black top snaps to the car's body. The car has no side glass; it has plexiglass panels instead, complete with a sliding window for the driver. There are triple windshield wipers to help clear the driver's view. Up front is a combination of turn signals and driving lights.

This Jag rolls on Goodyear Aquatred radials, size 205/75R15 at every corner. Each one is mounted a wire wheel with knock-off style centers. Out back is a full-sized spare tire and wire wheel. The tires and wheels are all in very good order.

Under the louvered, vee'd hood is a 3.8L inline six-cylinder engine and dual carbs. The motor is backed by a manual transmission. There is a flaw on the hood paint, top right side as pictured.

Inside, the black interior looks excellent including the bucket seats, the carpet and the four-spoke steering wheel. The twin-cockpit approach works for the dashboard. Tach, speedo, odo and fuel gauge are inop. The doors open coach-style and the inner panels look very good. A floor-mounted shift completes the interior.

The SS Jaguar 100 is a British two-seat sports car built between 1936 and 1939 by SS Cars Ltd of Coventry, England. The manufacturer's name 'SS Cars' used from 1934 maintained a link to the previous owner, Swallow Sidecar, founded in 1922 by Walmsley and Lyons to build motorcycle sidecars. In March 1945 the S. S. Cars shareholders agreed to change the name to Jaguar Cars Limited.

If you're seeking a unique Sunday driver for you and your wife to take out at intervals, this Jag is a prime candidate. You won't find many of these at cruise nights or car shows. Visit MotoeXotica Classic Cars today to see it for yourself.
