1968 Jaguar E-Type Additional Info:

1968 Jaguar E-Type. Numbers matching 4.2L engine and manual transmission. Current registration and clean title in hand.
The engine and transmission are in good running condition. The engine was gone through in 2006 when we acquired the car. It has been driven sparingly since then for leisure and to make sure everything stays in working order, and had repairs and systems gone through as needed. It shifts smoothly through all gears and accelerates with plenty of torque.
Please note that the water and oil gauges do not read correctly and will need refreshing. The cooling fans have been wired to run continuously as soon as the ignition is on.
There is surface rust throughout. There is rust at the floorboards, more so the driver's side. It is in mostly the same cosmetic condition now as when we bought it.
Some of the brightworks were removed by a previous owner to give the car a more streamlined appearance, as we were told he would take the car around the track at Laguna Seca. The logo bar, headlight trim (missing one outer piece on driver's side), front windshield trim, and side window trim will come with the car. I do not have the rear hatch window trim. The headlight trim is unique to this model year.
Also included is the radio surround and speakers (no radio). The racing style seatbelts pictured do not go with the car; I will include a set of Kangol three-point belts.
The car is a long term California car. It participated at the Palo Alto concours d'elegance in 1977 and 1978 according to badges on the glove box. A mileage log from the same period shows very low mileage on the car, though I cannot confirm the odometer has not rolled over.
