1969 Jaguar XKE / E-Type Additional Info:

The 1969 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Series II Roadsters were all the rage in the jet-set days of Hollywood and were capable of a top speed of 150 mph and a 0-60 time of 6.4 seconds. This Jaguar is a stunning example of a multi-year, complete restoration. The restoration was undertaken by its long-term owner of 33 years. The show quality restoration was complete and thorough. It has recently been serviced and is ready for touring and shows. This Jaguar began life on September 16, 1969. The original distributor was British Leyland, New York. The long-term owner of 33 years, Tim Lemna of Chatam, MA, acquired the E-Type in 1982 with 77,000 miles from new. It was driven sparingly in its original condition before undergoing a complete, multi-year restoration (See photo gallery for a few restoration photos). The Jaguar was then acquired on January 17, 2015, by Jonathan Milioti and Don Gleasner with a total of 94,250 miles since new. The Jaguar was then acquired on April 16, 2015, by Stephane Rambuad of Chicago, IL. The current owner, Tony Peterson, of Oro Valley, AZ acquired the Jaguar on June 21, 2018, from Northshore Sportscars in Lake Bluff, IL. Mr. Peterson has maintained and enjoyed the Jaguar over the past five-plus years. The gorgeous livery is Pale Primerose Yellow (Paint Code JAG137) which was a three-year, bare metal repaint in 1995 to 1998 by Dan Henry in Decatur, IL. The paint is in beautiful show condition with gorgeous luster and shine. There are few paint imperfections with only one small rock chip on the underside of the nose (from driving). The black canvas convertible top appears as near new and fits well as does the black canvas boot. The chrome wire wheels are in excellent condition and are wrapped in very sharp looking Dunlap redline radials. The chrome and brightwork are in excellent condition. The livery shows very well overall and needs nothing to be toured and shown. The interior was refinished in black leather by Bill Bassett Jaguar in Wyoming, RI in 2001. The leather is soft and supple and is in excellent condition overall. There is very slight creasing of the leather from gentle use. The gauges are in nice condition, and all appear to function as designed. The teak steering wheel is in beautiful condition and accompanied by a telescopic steering column. The radio has been updated with a Bluetooth version. The interior is overall in excellent condition. The engine compartment is well detailed and painted and is home to the matching numbers 4.2 Liter inline 6-cylinder engine. The engine, transmission and drivetrain were rebuilt by All Cape Machine Shop, a Jaguar specialty shop in Hyannis, MA in 2001. The engine starts immediately and runs very well and strong and is paired with numbers matching 4-speed manual transmission which operates smoothly and quietly. The undercarriage is also very clean and well detailed and shows well overall. This E-Type is accompanied with its Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, spare tire, and numerous restoration photos. This Jaguar needs nothing to be enjoyed, shown, and toured. It would be a wonderful addition to any collection. We have this Jaguar priced to sell.
